I was in my local Grainger Games store to trade in a game I no longer needed, and whilst trading in the game, they told me that they are now offering price match with other game stores (such as GAME and CeX), but it ONLY works for store credit, they don't offer price match for cash yet.

Also whilst there someone asked if the price match for store credit works with consoles as well as games, and it does. So if you're thinking of trading in your current gen console to put money towards a next gen console, this is pretty good.
(The manager said it has come back to all stores nationwide too)

Cold from me, sorry.

My local store (Derby Westfield) had a huge poster in the window running upto last Xmas proclaiming this yet refused to match CEX trade-in for my Xbox Elite despite me wanting to buy a new Slim from then.

Traded in at CEX for cash then bought one from HMV, walked back into CEX, smiled and left.

Shops seem to be funny about pricematching CONSOLES

iv got grainger to pricematch games with cex a few times with no problem. Same with GAME pricematching cex

however with consoles it seems they wont do it

I know they didn't do it before, but as my original post states, when asked the manager said it accepts console price matches this time too. It's probably just a way to get more people to buy their next gen consoles with them. But it's still good considering they add £1 on, so that's an extra pound ;)

I find Grainger games price match £1 extra on the total of games you trade, game add £1 per game they beat matching. But Grainger games have much more reasonable second hand hand and new game prices. Coming to consoles, in the past they have told me they match, just not on accessories

My local Grainger Games match trade in prices and give an extra £1. As far as I know they still do it with cash as well as credit and on all items. It wasn't that long ago really when I last traded in for cash and they did it then. When was it supposed to have stopped?

It apparently stopped in early June, unless it stopped just in the two stores in my city?

grainger wont price match anything where the trade is higher than there resale value, I know that much and derby Westfield are pretty picky about almost anything close to the mark
