I have one of these. What sellers neglect to tell you about these PCMIA USB cards is that you can only use 1 of the USB ports without buying a power supply which plugs into the middle circle hole.

Good price though

Might as well use money towards new laptop, £45 for increased usb speed, not convinced that is the way to go. I purchased a usb gigabit adapter by belkin the other week and i never get gigabit speed, guess there are other factors involved.

I bought one of these a few years back and was about fouth of this price. I guess your paying for a name here really. It is only PCMICA, which you dont find in allot of modern laptops dont support these days.Thou i agree with poster, will only support one usb without a power supply, talking from expereince.

Seems a lot of green for 1 working USB port, I agree with putting money toward new laptop and also selling old one.

Crazy high price. Looks like the same product at £17 at Play http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/3276527/Belkin-Hi-Speed-USB-2-0-Notebook-Card/Product.html?_%24ja=tsid:11518|cat:3276527|prd:3276527 - and cheaper elsewhere from less well-known sellers.

Bought one from eBay a couple of years ago for around £10.00 and it is still working ok. BTW. Do modern laptops still have these slots? My new one doesn't.

This is for 12 of them so it's only £3.75 each delivered! Of course as the OP said in the title it's a deal for traders (maybe help squeeze a bit of life out of some old laptops).

As above the deal is for 12 of them!

No modern laptops have express card slots (or no slots at all) but then modern laptops also come with lots of USB 2.0 ports built in too.

if you have a laptop which needs one of these I am guessing its a laptop with USB 1.1, if this is the case I would really advise putting money towards a new laptop instead, since the laptop will probably be close to 10 years old!
