Description:

Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family...

This is the story of Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) and his so-called friends - a bunch of losers, liars, psychos, thieves and junkies. Hilarious but harrowing, the film charts the disintegration of their friendship as they proceed seemingly towards self-destruction. Mark alone has the insight and opportunity to escape his fate - but then again does he really want to "choose life"?

Special features:

40 min feature 'Memories of Trainspotting' with Danny Boyle, Andrew Macdonald, John Hodge, Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Kelly Macdonald and Robert Carlyle.

Amazing film, but I cant watch it any more.

Its the scene when the baby dies and they are all wasted. Powerful stuff.

And in hi def. I don't think I need to see everything in all that detail.
#2
You wont need to worry about that, The transfer is pretty poor.

Totally agree. "Amazing film." "Powerful stuff."

Another scene I find hard is where Bigby glasses someone in the boozer. A crime which should see any perpertrator doing serious jail time (if only we had 'hard labour' and earning your bread type justice.)

Long live Trainspotting but I wont be buying.

It's [email protected] being Scottish! We're the lowest of the low. The scum of the f**king Earth! The most wretched, miserable, servile, pathetic trash that was ever shat into civilization. Some hate the English. I don't. They're just [email protected] We, on the other hand, are COLONIZED by [email protected] Can't even find a decent culture to be colonized BY. I have this on DVD and would get the blu ray at this price if it weren't for the reviews saying how bad the transfer is. :(

Worst thing is, most people in Scotland are now worse than the overblown characters in Trainspotting. Worrying days...

Good film, bad transfer, well okay transfer but the aspect ratio is wrong if memory serves me correctly?

Sure, bits are depressing...but alot is true to life for some people. In my opinion it is a very well written film, excellent in fact. And hard hitting. I also recommend anyone here to read the book...even better than the film in many ways.

I'll be sure to ignore your personal opinion when watching any brilliant film.

You seem to confuse showing awful things with being an awful film?

You have to get through the depressing story elements of the film to get to the message of hope at the end.

Great Film, classic british film making and heat from me for the price.

Yeah the transfer is poor, I sold mine on in the end, might as well use my DVD and upscale that
#16
Brilliant film but please please do NOT buy the Blu-Ray, as said the transfer is AWFUL!
It's jittery and the picture is grainy! Deserves so much better!
The picture on my VHS of this is better!
