Cheapest prices for the Trangia range I've ever seen. There is quite a selection but as an example, the "family" sized non-stick 25-6 set is at GoOutdoors for £76.50 and at Millets for £79.99. Here it is £57.50 and delivery is free. Bargain :)

I ordered quite a lot of the Hard Anodized kit from here in March 2009. The prices have gone up quite a bit since then, but they were by far the cheapest back then too.

The "Trangia 25K Stove Hard Anodized (including kettle) 25-8" was £56.25 inc VAT then, £73.50 now.

Be warned though, it took over 2 weeks for them to ship my kit after no response to my email or phone queries and eventually requesting the orders be cancelled. The items did eventually arrive, but I'd be very cautious using them in future.

I think it's a bit of a redundant point to say things were cheaper over 2 years ago. Diesel was less than 90p a litre in March 2009 and I had more hair. :p

Now if you can show me somewhere else that's cheaper today (or a way that I can get my hair back!) then I'd be interested :)

You've clearly missed the point ;) The point was not that the prices have changed, but that they were the cheapest by far at the time (although prices have risen) - great prices then, great prices now.

But heed the warning about the company. They do appear to have moved from Yorkshire to Cardiff since, so may have been taken over (site is exactly the same), but I'd call them first to check their validity. My research led me to find that the then owner had links with various other infamous liquidated stores.

PS. sorry about your hair, perhaps hats are cheap on the site? :D

Just a quick reply regarding the thread above - I took over running the Company in April 2009, and the previous owners were very disorganised before the change over, which explains DJ Dunk's bad experience. We order the Trangia's straight from our supplier when an order comes in, which usually takes a couple of days. If anyone wants an estimated delivery date for a Trangia, please email me at [email protected] and I can check if my supplier has stock and get back to you with an estimate delivery date before you place any order.

That's excellent to know, really appreciate your honest response Ian. We purchase a fair amount of kit for expeditions, so it's good to have a reliable supplier. We'll certainly be in contact in future.
