Well its a Class 10 card, so its the fastest class, so should be ok with tz10, however dont expect sandisk extreame 4 speeds
#9
Ah this would work well with the Mini Sport Digital Video Camcorder posted the other day then.
#10
Well that's annoying I just paid £31 from Amazon which was the cheapest 1 month ago. Well inc delivery.

Definately. their website says needs better than class 6, this is a class 10. what's the TZ10 like? Am split between it and the TZ7 at the moment. Is the battery drain as bad as reported?

WIll this work with the xbox? In fact do any memory cards work with the xbox? Had problems getting them to work with a card reader, although flash drives work ok now.

Also...what Mini Sport Digitial Camera?

Not sure if it is my bad luck, mine is not working probably, keep showing card is "write protected" after write/read a few times, have to reformat every 3-4 days.
#16
Thanks! Was after a couple of these for a netbook and HD camera.
#17
Cheers, bought one for my Sony A450.

Check it's not a fake, there are loads about. The symptoms you describe are what they generally have. eg. you buy a 16GB, but it maybe a 2GB with a 16GB controller chip. When it gets to 2GB it will say write protected as there is no memory to address once the 2GB is all full, but the camera/computer see it as 16GB.

Considerable ammount of reviews on Amazon about Transcend SD cards in general failing and loosing data. Would personally pay more and buy a Sandisk or other more reliable brand.

I've had loads of Transcend Cards over the years,
Used them in Camcorders, Camers and Nintendo DS - never had a single failure

I am using a class 4 in my TZ10 and it works fine on HD video.

No

I bought the 8Gb version from Amazon... only get 14MB/S write speed though (benchmarked with various programs and 2 PC's with 3 different card readers) so not 'really' class 10 at all! Still fast but not up there with the rivals.

Surely Class 10 indicates a minimum write speed of 10 MB/s, so these at 14 MB/s are well above the minimum?

Yes - Exactly.

Class 10 means a minimum of 10mb/s read & write.
Not sure what 'balf2k' thinks Class 10 means.

They are now £19.99 delivered without any codes..though that price will supposedly only last 48 hours.

The BACKFORGOOD code gets it down to £18.99
