Great stuff - just what I needed, a high capacity class 10 card as a backup card on the D300s. Thanks :)

I just got the 8GB Class 10 version of this card today from a Windows 7 PC it seems to write at 13mb/s and read around 18 mb/s (although at various points inthe copying process it said over 25 mb/s) .. Funnily enough in my Fuji camera it was slower then expected in my continuous shooting test - writing 23 shots in around 19 seconds, other 2GB cards from Kingston I had which didn't even have a class rating wrote the same 23 shots in as little as 14 seconds, whilst some other cards as along as 30 seconds.

It could be that smaller cards formatted as FAT write faster then lager cards which must be formatted as FAT32.

just tried my Fujii Test with my 2GB Sandisk Ultra 2 which has no official class rating written on the card and it wrote 23 shots in 15 seconds compared to 19 seconds for the Transcend 8gb Class 10.

This will not only depend on the card but also your camera's ability to address the card. It will not get the speed advertised if it's not SD 3.0 compatible. The classified speed of the card is 20MB/s and only SD 3.0 compatible devices will achieve that.

£18.89 at amazon and sold by 'Flash Memory'.

@ deeinlondon. It's true about better speeds achieved in smaller cards. But for me,the camera buffer is more than adequate. For burst sports shooting, I wouldn't use a SD card of any description.

Not showing at that price for me. It's showing £18.89

Should also point out the Class 10 means a sustained level of 10mb/s but with this card it can handle bursts of up to 20mb/s.

Thanks :)

It was slightly cheaper through Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Transcend-16GB-SDHC-Class-Memory/dp/B002WE4HE2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1287086879&sr=8-1

But the delivery date was 19-23 oct, so I ordered through play.com
