Transcend 8Gb SDHC Class 10 £7.45 @Amazon

I was bought a new camera for my birthday and was looking for a decent 8Gb or 16Gb card for it. I saw the 7Dayshop deal at £7.99 (which is now £8.49) which went to 295°. I looked on Amazon - here is the same thing even cheaper. The 16Gb one is £17.93.
Strangely it is fulfilled by MyMemory - both sizes are more expensive on their own website than through Amazon.

Now that's weird.
I bought the item for £7.45 inc free postage and within seconds on Amazon when I tested the link it came up with a different price of £6.01 + £1.50 shipping. So it seems like it might be £7.51 unless it changes again in a few seconds.
Also now fulfilled by Amazin Memory, whoever they are.

Considerable amount of reviews of this brand of SD card failing and all data being lost, (both 8 and 16gb ones) . Would rather pay the extra and stick to Sandisk or other more reputable brands.

Only £60? When I upgraded to my digi cam to one of the first 2Mp (Sony F55E £699) which I still have as a backup and produces fantastic pics). I purchased an additional 16Mb card as it only came with a 4Mb at the cost of £79!!!

Voted hot! Just got this yesterday. I've used transcend 8gb class 6 for close to 2 years now without issues. Would like to know about the reviews say this brand had been failing though.

I nearly bought a 16gb a couple of days ago but was not sure if speeds would be suitable for full hd recording.Just found this info on the 8gb which im certain is faster than the 16b

http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1023&message=34254929

"Maximum read/write speeds (+ / - 5% of max) were attained starting with 256KB and larger file sizes (8KB files were written at 6MB/s and read at 9MB/s) whereby the read and write speeds stabilized at a very healthy 17.0MB/s write and 19.9MB/s read"
