Using the code B17DC01 you can get this dashcam from Halfords for £80.10 (that's pick up, I've not looked at delivery). Currently £118 at Amazon.

Have some heat.... I paid £89 from Halfords eBay a few months back. Decent camera

These cameras are great. I've got all my drivers in the company using them and the quality of recording is HD. At a recent accident, which if it wasn't for the camera footage we would have been blamed for, the police said it was the best quality cctv footage they had seen.

Does this automatically turn on with the ignition or does it require manual turning on and off?
#4
Turns on automatically. Turns off 20 seconds after ignition turns off. I've had a number of dashcams and this is by far the best one.

Steve thanks for the reply. Can it be installed by a novice? Is it just plug and play?

Thanks Steve. Is it just plug and play or needs installation?

Yes, you get a suction cup in the box and a usb to car charger lead. I just placed mine on my windscreen and plugged it in and youre good to go. The only negative thing I can say about this camera is that hardly any software plays the video you record. My windows Media Player plays the audio but no video. The only player Ive found that works well is quick time player.

Is a adhesive windscreen mount not a suction mount

£103.50 with the code now...

Had this for a couple of months now, although I bought the sucker version from Argos. The Halfords version comes with a permanent self adhesive mount. Overall I'm pleased with it. The peripheral features such as collision detection, lane departure etc are a complete waste of time and have to be switched off, otherwise the unit beeps constantly for no reason. I inserted my own 64Gb card to get 9 hours of recording time.

FYI the Halfords version comes with self adhesive mount and not a suction mount.
