How reliable is this retailer? There are a lot of fakes about when it comes to flash memory. :(
#5
As far as I'm concerned, this retailer is highly unreliable. Advertises memory cards and USB sticks at fantastic prices, indicates items in stock, takes and confirms your order, then sends you an email that the item is out of stock (the website STILL indicated the item is in stock).
This happened to me twice - I have not shopped with them since and will never shop with them in the future.
Apologies to the OP, but I'm voting this one cold for that reason.

I bought one of these last week it arrived quickly, well packaged, very fast and works a treat

Never had any problems with 7dayshop myself, made around 15-20 orders over the passed few months with them. All memory is GENUINE and haven't had a single cause for concern!

I have two of this 8Gb card combined in an adaptor to get 16Gb for my PSP. Has been working great for just over a month now

I can 2nd that ....... unlike PLAY who have sent me fake cards :x BTW Transcend are the best and most reliable brand ive used. Sandisk are the worst.

7dayshop do occasionally run out of items you've ordered and paid for, but it usually only ends up being delayed a week at most. All products are 100% genuine and their online suport/customer service is great.

Play are crap. Unless they have some unmisable deal on the go I'd never normally buy from Play. 7dayshop is as solid and dependable an online store can get. Even DealExtreme can't beat these lot on their memory card prices!
#11
I have used these guys loads over the last year or so, and would recommend them, no probs. Although they did have this card for a £10 a few months ago. But prices change !

Heat added.

Got this same card for £10.50 on Play yesterday

They don't even have any right now, so comparing something to nothing is pointless! :-D

I Ordered a 'Toshiba' 4GB from 7 day shop recently, only to find when i received it it was unbranded. Even though the image on the website clearly had the Toshiba logo on it.

7 day shop then ignored my complaint email !

Make another complaint demanding that you want a refund or full replacement under Distance Selling Regulations, ask for a receipt for your email if possible ensuring you mention they are falsely advertising.

I have used 7day for many years now, I havent had a single problem.

Not sure of your problem but this is what they say about Toshiba SD's and Micro SD 'Please note: You may receive a card that differs from the image shown: they may have no sticker and be 'bulk' packed (no horrible plastic packaging!) but they will come with a protective jewel case and are 100% Toshiba OR Samsung guaranteed!'
Could this be why you received a card with no make.

As for their customer service, I dont really know as I havent had any problems so far.

On one occasion I had items that never arrived. After 14 days had passed and comm's too-and-fro with 7dayshop they sent out replacements no problem, THEN the original order arrived (I could tell by the date on the invoice) lol

They did say to send the original order back should it arrive, but come on, who in their right mind......!!!? :p

Anyways, they are willing to give you the benefit of the doubt rather than lose your custom, which is a rare with online retailers.

Yes they do - I ordered a day or so ago.

So your comment is pretty pointless

Dealt with 7 day shop for many years. Always found them reliable, my last 8Gb Tosh branded Micro SDHC is performing brilliantly atm. So I would buy again when the price is right, which is not now because of the exchange rate.

Exactly mate ;-)

Pointing out a deal from a year or a day ago is equally pointless, it's past tense :p

The 2 x 4gb (haven't got my 8gb cards yet!) slapped in there worked great

.. Got my two cards from this deal today. I confirm for you that they work without any problems. The PSP quotes 14gb but thats just the way it reports capicity. Checking on the PC, the full 16GB is there. One thing i did notice is that i cant connect the PSP to the PC directly, I have to take out the Pro Duo and use a card reader. Its a slight pain since they are notoriously fragile, so i would rather have just left the card in PSP all the time.

Hmm, that's strange that it won't read/write via the PSP's USB as the 4gb Transcend cards do. Your not supposed to write directly to any PSP memory card via PC mem slots/card readers, or so I'm told :?

Sorted now ... i had the wrong settings on the custom firmware, so it was reading the UMD disc and not the card

Shall upgrade one for my BB Bold

Thanks! Just ordered one to go into my magic.

it is amazing that the prices are now higher than they were 7 months ago on flash memory as this is now £13.99 yet this is still the cheapest I could find for a class 6 8gb micro sdhc card
