Hmm, been thinking about picking up some 4gb cards this seems like a good price (didn't know about the amazon deal last week, not sure how I missed it?) but I've never used 7dayshop before, they any good?

Apparently... According to the text on the R4DS box...

Although I haven't tried it yet

No it wont as it doesn't as the original R4 doesn't support HC microsd cards. It will support upto 4bg nonHC ones but they were only ever made by sandisk and released in japan so are quite rare as no longer made.
#15
The R4DS boxes state FAT16 or 32 but nothing about SD 2.0 compliancy.

Suppose this is the time to try at this price.

I know the R4DS-III (Advance) supports SDHC, so thats card of anything upto 32GB. If you opt for one of these 4GB cards, I can get R4DS-III's at around £11 p/unit. 4GB = roughly 100 games on DS. Good times.

The site says stock's on order, anyone have any idea how long it'll be before we actually receive them if ordering today?

Only if you stick to the 32mb games. Most seem to be 64mb, lately, and there's a fair few 128mb ones.
Sixty games on a 4gb card is a more realistic estimate. (I have 58 and the drivers etc. on one, with a little bit of space left for saves etc.)

This is a fantastic price. I paid about £6 for a class 2 (I didn't realise the low class/speed until after dispatch) a couple of days ago :(
Voted hot, and rep added :D

Hence roughly, I sell 2GB R4DS with 50 games as standard, this has a broad spectrum of game sizes. 128Mb are rare, yes theyre becoming more common but you will find file sizes of that are the universal packs, you can get region specific ones. For examples, the (E) repack of Curious Village is 64Mb. It's all odds an ends anyway, the majority of my filler games are 16-32.

The problem when you up class and indeed to SDHC, the power consumption for the DS console increases a fair bit, hence why I still only shift SD's.

The Amazon ones were only class 2 cards. Whether this makes a difference is down to what device you are using them in. For a DS flashcart, class 2's are fine.

For class 6 cards, this is an excellent price, and well worth the money. :)

I wouldn't say 128 mb is "rare". I have at least one 256mb(Cooking guide) game.

And that has what baring on 128Mb games?

FWIW, I was just implying they are more sparse than <64Mb, I fill a 2GB to 50 games fine with popular titles.

If you want something unexpired then report (red triangle) the first post and ask for it to be unexpired.
