is the higher class only beneficial when reading/write via pc or is there better performance with the phone aswell, e.g photos?

Transferring from PC makes a difference and I suspect it depends on what phone you have got for your second question.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question....I'm not techy in the least....I have a Vodaphone USB Modem stick which sayd it accepts microSD cards..... can I use the above or does the SDHC mean I can't...apologies if it's a naive question.............:oops:

I suspect it would make a difference, however it also depends on the bus speed between the CPU/RAM and the memory card - which is difficult info to come by.

It's possible you might be able to BUT, SDHC is NOT backward compatible so you need to be sure it will accept SDHC. Do you know the model you're using?

Is it a white longish one? It should work fine I think.
