I wonder why 7dayshop are selling this 19p cheaper on Amazon? (See side panel on right - "More Buying Choices"). Only 19p difference I know. Anyway, good find :)

You can't trade on this board. Try "For Sale/Trade"

I can not open up a new thread as it is blocked at work. I will do so later.

The reason that it is so cheap is because it is a Chinese company - Elite Pro. I am not sure on the class but think that the performance is 9Mb/s Write, 8Mb/s Read.

all sales from amazon are single unit so if someone buys 2 from amazon it costs more than 7dayshop prices - will be to even it out of they just haven't bothered to update ut.

I bought a transcend 8gb micro sd before, I tested it against a class 4 micro sd that came with a nokia 5800, the transcend was a bit slower each time, although I was only timing how long it took to put a video file on each card so hardly conclusive, just saying it might not be full class 6 speeds.

That said I use this sd-hc in my camera and its fine, but I havent used any other sd-hc cards so I cant compare

its not that it wasn't 'full class 6' it was that the other card was in general faster - but they could not guarantee min of 6mb/s so they cant claim class 6.
for basic transfer of files and simple low speed photos etc then average transfer is best as thats what you usually get - thats no good for recording good video as 'usually fast' translates to 'sometimes slow' which will give stutters.

not sure you are allowed to sell it over there for a week now and you shouldn't mess up this thread with such crap anyway as will have to be via pm which is not the way to do things
#19
What class of SD card do you need to buy for it to be faster than a USB Flash Drive?
#20
There might only be pennies in it cost wise between 7dayshop and Amazon, but I ordered one of these from flash_memory on Amazon last week and it was with me in less than 48 hours. 7dayshop, on the other hand, tend to live up to their name.

And as SDHC cards go, despite being Class 6 I don't think this one is particularly fast. Compared to the 2GB Sandisk Ultra II (non-SDHC) card I was using before, my camera seems to be taking longer to save each picture. Which could well be the case: my Ultra II card claims 9MB/s write performance, and class 6 only requires over 6MB/s.

Can anyone advise if Transcend or Kingston are better? Thanks

More or less the same i think. both are mid-low brands

ordered on the 17th received today :-)

I got one of these recently from amazon after looking around a bit. Seems nice and fast in my Panasonic TZ6. Seems the best deal on a class 6 8gb sd card.
