In the HMV exclusive box?
1 Like #4
No but it's only a box for hmv but for less you get whats included in this set plus an extra bonus disc. That makes the amazon set more collectable
#5
My mistake it's only a slipcase that goes around the original box
#6
Isn't the 3rd disc from amazon just the digital download copy for youre iPod iPad etc. Or is it actually another disc of content? Or is it the DVD version of the film Blu Ray version of the film and then a bonus disc.

Btw this is what the hmv box looks like

#8
This is 3 discs as well, can't believe it's still available, the Optimus Prime one they did for T1 went out of print, I bought this on release at way more. Hot.

Looks good :)

£13 for a blu ray ?!! cold...
#11
This is a good price if you like the film but you could download CRASH, BAM and BOOM sound effects for free and get the same experience.
#12
Think the bonus copy might of expired as I had the normal set and the copy expired in November same with star trek. That's why both films are cheap.
#13
Still a good price though
#14
That's a rather awesome case :') Same can't be said for the film.

Michael Bay is an embarrassment to the art of film directing.

£13 for a blu ray is good. Plus its transformers

Don't know why so much bad press about the film, was enjoyable action film. Far better than rubbish pirates of the Caribbean.

REALLY? I can't believe that people still think that £13 is good for a Blu-Ray. The only reason this film is so expensive is that the demand is so high, it's not a 'good' price for a Blu-Ray especially for one that's been out over a year!

Especially so considering the 2 for £20 Blu-Ray deal at MyMemory which includes pre-orders.

That said, for collectors this is a good item, it's tempting to buy one as an investment but I'd assume if it's still in print that there wont be many people willing to pay a lot for it?

Michael Bay is an embarrassment to the art of film directing.
You need to say this with a car chase that ends with 50+ vehicles wrecked and the Empire State Building crushing the Statue of Liberty.

In the making-of for Transformers 2, he deliberately fought for the "wrecking balls" shot and thought it was hilarious. The making-of also showed how he likes to get things done in about two takes, saying anything more is "wasteful".

I had to shake my head at how terrible he truly is.

No, it just means he has storyboarded it all properly before hand. You do know Pixar spend 2 and a half years storyboarding it? Just because he doesn't tend to spend as many hours shooting the same shots as other directors isn't necessarily a flaw.

So you disagreed and now you agree? £10 for a chart blu-ray is the absolute best I have seen it and you have to buy 5 of them to get it from best buy. Don't really see the problem here when it has already been noted that it is £1 cheaper at amazon but you are paying for the cover. Simple as cheese.

I meant it's generally not a good price, especially for something that's been out for 14 months.

Actually i've now confused myself too... Basically I was responding to the guy who said £13 for a Blu-Ray is cheap. I disagree. But this is a good price for this specific Blu-Ray because of the high demand....

3rd disc should just be the digital download. i have this set and i got it for this price when it came out at HMV as well. don't ask how - it was just priced like that i guess...

It was tacky and stuck out in my collection. Sold soon after I bought it. Regardless, I paid a lot more than this at release, so it's still a good deal. Also, Transformers isn't ever going to significantly come down in price for a while - the combi-pack has been around £18 until a few months ago.

Got this set from HMV when it was £11.99 and didn't like it tbh as it looks very cheap and nasty and as already posted above sticks out in your collection.

Been this price for a while now. I remember seeing it at this price back in November. IMO it doesn't really look that good. They had an Optimus Prime one for the first film's HMV DVD but they both are a good idea but look kind of cheap when you keep them with all your other films

And? I always watch all the behind the scenes of the movies I like. When you got something as expensive as a scene with robots in it, your going to make sure it is as perfected as possible to reduce the huge costs.

The only thing that let it down really was they tried comedy which was a bad move and the last battle sequence was not how it was intended but the guy knew all this as evident from his commentary during the movie.

It's not just a cover, it's a crappy plastic transforming model that the disc fits inside.

don't mind the film at all... however tran1 and tran2 were availabel in a double pack earlier for around the same price..would never spend more that £7 on a blu ray....
