A fantastic price for this and great to put away for Christmas / birthdays. Transformers: Risk Board Game is now just £5 @ Play.com!

Can the heroic Autobots take back Cybertron from the evil Decepticons, or will they be forced from their homeworld forever?

The robot armies of Megatron and optimus prime are fighting a global civil war. Whoever wins will not only rule Cybertron, but they will also gain control of the allspark, the force that gives life to all transformers.

Risk, the world conquest game, is brought to another dimension in this epic game of mechanical mayhem. In the world of Transformers things are not always what they seem - even territories can change over in the midst of battle!

Great value, though whenever I have played risk, someone always beats me with yet another rule that i didn't know about....
#5
They've done this before - still hot... good bargain and great game.
#6
thanks for this
#7
Its a good game - quicker than normal risk (with 4 players - not tried 2/3 player).
#8
I've heard of Risk before but don't really know what it's about and if I'd enjoy it. Can anyone give a brief outline of what you have to do?

You are basically in charge of the British Empire during the 16th Century. Your goal is to conquer the world.

It has a more limited amount of turns and just works slightly differently. I really enjoyed it, despite not being a Transformers fan. Shame my girlfriend doesn't ever want to play!

Any idea what the age range is for this game? Thanks

I brought this when it was on offer before - the box was slightly damaged, so they were being sold off cheap - didn't say anything on the website just on the delivery note.

Excellent game, kids and the hubby love it.

Thanks rep left :) Brief desciption of how the game works? Roll a dice and move around the board?
#16
This is such a coincidence. Just speaking with my son who wanted Risk for his birthday - and magically it appears cheap. YaY!

You forgot to mention Quidco too. 6% with Play I think.
#17
They have this in Doncaster Home Bargains for the same price I'm sure.
Don't have enough friends to play with though lol. Is it any good by yourself?

After your and your opponent(s) armies have been placed around different countries of the world, you roll 3 dice to see whether your invasion of an opponents country has been successful. You can try to invade as many countries as you want during your turn. Then your opponent(s) has a turn doing the same. After 3 or so turns each, the game ends. Whoever has the most men left, wins.

There are also bonuses and extras in the game that make it a bit more complicated. It is a fun game that does last quite a while. Hope this helps

Great. Thanks for the explainations! I would leave more rep but it won't let me! Thanks again.

Was just talking about this the other day with a mate who swears Risk is the best board game ever - and since then my Quidco Quidclan won £5 Play.com vouchers for all its members :D Thank OP

This isn't quite the same as normal risk. You work in two teams in four player, two vs one in three player. Its also got some bits of the board that move about/rotate to try and make it different but to be honest they don't have much effect. Proper Risk allows 6 players to play and is a lot longer game. This however is a real bargain at a £5 - spent £7 on it myself and it was worth it.

thanks. heat added.

Risk is almost 50 years old now, there are many variations which add different themes and new rules, you can find some pics and descriptions here: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/27961

To be honest there are many, many better board games out now (I sell many) but for someone just getting into them it's a fine starter and a barg for £5.
