The classic big screen outing from the massively popular 80s toys gets a welcome re-issue on DVD, and if you haven't seen it then it's well worth checking out. Set in the year 2005 the good Autobots are battling the evil Decepticons, who have been helped by an evil force called Unicron, an evil travelling planet consuming demon. Unicron has made the Decepticons stronger than they ever were and in return expects them to destroy the Autobots. The story is very strong and for a kids film features lots of violence and even goes on to show its consequences. Also the cast doing the voices is amazing featuring Leonard Nimoy, Eric Idle, Judd Nelson, Casey Kasem and Orson Wells.

The old animated movie of course. Still good fun though!
Picked this up instore for £5 as I could not be bothered waiting for royal mail to delivery while the industrial action was on

Not got round to watching it yet though
pure class :)
As a person who picked up this movie 2-3 years ago, what's the difference of the "Ultimate Edition"?
The old animated movie of course. Still good fun though!

Going OT I actually think this is better than the new movie. OK the SFX are good in T2007 BUT the script/action seems forced and disjointed. Pretty uncomfortable to watch imho. The wife thought it was great though:roll:
Hmmm I don't get it.....HMV says it's the "Ultimate Edition" (which is a two disc set), but it also says that there's only one disc and the piccy appears to be of the special edition (a one disc set, which is the same price on, so which is it? As it's either a great price for the Ultimate ed. or an average price for the special ed.
Unfortunately I suspect you'd receive the standard edition. HMV still lists the 2 disc 'Ultimate' version at £13.99 so I suspect this is just a cock up in their titling.
Im sure if it arrived as the special edition you could take it instore and give them hell
I got mine today, it's just the special edition, which is only the movie in widescreen with 5.1 and nothing else.
