In the Luc Besson production The Transporter, Frank Martin (Jason Statham) is an ex-U.S. Special Forces operative now making a lucrative living as a "no questions asked" courier in France. He's a professional who plays by his own set of rules - never change the deal, no names, and never look in the package. However, on one job he opens a holdall to discover a young Asian woman languishing inside (Shu Qi). Miami, USA: Frank Martin (Jason Statham) is filling in as a driver for a government narcotics control policymaker, Senator Billings (Matthew Modine) and his family, wife Audrey (Amber Valletta) and son Jack. When Jack becomes the target for a kidnap plot and snatched from Franks grasp by a Columbian drug cartel, Frank immediately becomes involved in the attempts to reclaim him and expose his captors... even though he is under suspicion himself. Having been fingered as being involved in the plot, Frank must work quickly and ruthlessly to save Jack in time, before he himself is mistakenly tracked down.
Headed by Gianni (Alessandro Gassman) and his girlfriend Lola (Kate Nauta), the mercenary Columbian gang have plans to use Jack in ways no one could have imagined. Hazardous and high speed boat and motor chases ensue as Jack is whisked away from those that are trying to save him. But his captors hadnt counted on the determination and skill of Frank. As the pace of the plot accelerates, Franks job becomes much harder as it becomes apparent that Jack is not the only target but will Frank be able to foil the mercenaries before it is too late?
