I thought I would share this information with you as it has saved my a lot of money.
I live over 300miles away from Legoland/Thorpe Park Etc so have to stay overnight when we visit. So I have looked around for cheap hotels in the area and have found that Travlodge M4 (18mls from Legoland) have rooms available throughtout August for only £15 per night, so i have booked a room for 3 nights costing only £45, then I will convert my Tesco Clubcard vouchers into deals making it free for my family to enter Legoland. So a nice little summer holiday break will only cost us £45 (plus spending money) for 3 nights away, good if your on a budget like me.
I costed the same dates at Legoland with hotel at http://www.play-and-stay.co.uk
and it came out at £518.00 (not in the same hotel)
You do have to book the travelodge rooms well in advance, if not you will have to pay £60 per night. I have stayed with travelodge before and they are rooms, clean and tidy etc.https://www.travelodge.co.uk/saver_search/results.php?action=redisplay
