Try and get the Stansted one. Stayed there last month for the airport for £15.
Used to be the Stansted Manor Hotel - has its own drive and everything! ;)

It used to be a few years ago that the TL sale rooms meant loads of good locations really cheap - like £9. Now the availability is really limited and some that were always in the cheap deals are now always full price. Can't complain as we've had dozens of cheapo TL deals, but a bit of a shame. Had a quick look and couldn't find anything for us, but some good deals if you don't need a Saturday night.

We went down to Alton Towers at Easter. 4 people for 5 nights in a TL 30 minutes away £45. Don't tell me the deals aren't there. You just have to be fast.

Anyone recommend the best Travelodge to stay in if going to Alton Towers? Got the free Sun tickets for end September, so £19 rooms would be great.
BTW was looking at Rugeley

Very hard to find one at £19! Its the old 'from' word again, still, if, you can find one in a place you actually want to be, it would be a good deal...
#13
Can find them for £19 but not where I want to go, anyone got any they would recommend for a good night away?
#14

There's a new one at Newcastle-under-Lyme, which is reasonably close.

Meant to be family but the last twice they never supplied enough pillows, duvets and sheets for 4 of us.

You should ask for more then.. they're usually really good about it. They often offer to bring them up too..
#21
Sorry I did ask them and they supplied but crap that when you book a FAMILY room they don't give you enough for a family.

Derby. It's not far away & has a big retail park (Kings gate I think) with a Best Buy & a Sainsburys right next door. We used the Sainsburys for breakfast, it has a really nice cafe. There is also a Marstons Pub right next to it, where the kids eat free :) . There is a closer TL but there's nothing there bar a McDs & a Little Chef
#23
That's Uttoxeter .... which is £60 a night the robbing swines!
#24

These hotels are disgusting! I sworn i'd never stay in one again after using the one at The Trafford Centre in Manchester, but last summer i took advantage of one of these £19 offers in Harrogate! The place was a filthy slum. Some things in life simply ain't a bargin it's more a case of you GET what you PAY for.

wasnt this on watchdog tonight?

Travelodge do a very good job convicing people they are cheap. They are not. They employ ruthless yield managment to get the maximum for each room, playing on strap line advertising and peoples ignorance whislt providing a pretty shoddy end product in the process.

Take if from me you are much better off staying at an indepedant like Best Western - they really care, look after you and are often cheaper than TL/PI etc

Stoke-on-Trent Moat House/Best Western would be ideal for a trip to Alton Towers

Con trick - I can't find anything that is less than £35!
#32
used these many times while working , company wouldn't cough up for anything decent.

no way would I use them for a family stay
#33
Great! Thanks thats just what I was looking for, booked b`mouth also for 2 nights start of Aug. Before we go away for a 10 day stay. Cheers.

Not stayed in them before, are they just under par to Premier Inn?

edit - both nights for £19 :) But there is a £3 charge a day for car parking

Stayed on these deals a couple of times but cant find a family room anywhere near where we want, seems the search facility has got worse. Says available until you try to book, gutted voted hot though. The rooms I have stayed in have been excellent before.
#35
Not a single room in London on a Saturday for under £70 that I can see - that's £140 for the two of us, argh!

Not stayed at Premier Inn so can't compare. If you are staying at the on on Christchurch Road it is excellent. Only a couple of years old, not a rebrand of an old Hotel as some of the are. And only 5 mins walk to a beautiful beach. Also stayed at Travelodge's in Spalding, Leamington Spa and Bath and can recommend them all. Not so keen on the Saltash or Chiippenham ones though.
#39
Stayed in the one in Chester a while ago and it was a **** disgrace. Just about worth £19 but for any more stay elsewhere.
#40
Just booked a room in Southampton for two nights @ £19 each in on a weekend in August!
