Used these folks at the start of the year for our 2 month trip abroad (we are about to head off again over the xmas period). They still have the same deal on generic anti-malaria tablets (atovaquone a…

Still the cheapest I've found online. The consolation is now £5 and can be done for more than one person (i.e. only £5 in total). Also free delivery over £29 and £1 for liking on Facebook!
Just bought from here, found them the cheapest by far. I was charged a consultation fee for mefloquin and the pediatric malarone but was still cheaper. Doctor wanted 12 per person prescription plus cost of pill came to over 250 for a family of 5. Just got everything for 117 all in! Thank you
pop to asda and get some for £3 ... generic chloroquineic tablets & have used these everytime we go to the Dom Rep

Asda pharmacy do Malarone at a £1-00 each. I've had side effects with other Malaria tablets, but none with these.
I wasn't charged a fee of any sort, just had a 10 minute consultation.

Malarone is suppose to have less side effects than the others. I can't comment on the others but Malarone gave me really vivid nightmares/night tremors, not something I had ever had before. Really strange...

Have been looking around for malaria tablets, noticed that the Malarone equivalent is only 99p at Travelpharm. With the branded stuff being £2.25, it seems to be a cheap price for essentially the same…

Depends how u look at it really?.

From your previous comment, it seems you are under a misapprehension over what the word "generic" means in this context: http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=46204
There may however be a valid point about how accountable and traceable online pharmacies are?

The Malorone patent, held by GSK, was revoked in 2013, so generic versions have only recently become available and many pharmacies don't stock them, or are just starting to.

Branded Malorone tablets were anything up to £3.57 per tablet in my local area when I checked last week.
In Asda pharmacy in the Old Kent Road (south London) malorone was £2.50 per tablet, and the identical, but unbranded generic version was £1.25. You need 23 tablets for a two week trip, so I saved about £30 on my prescription.

This is an actual online pharmacy so the online consultation will make sure as to which anti-malaria medication is required for the region you are visiting.
As mentioned asda also do £1 per tablet but many of the stores are unable to provide this at the moment as they cannot get hold of the cheaper generic version (supply issues).

This is a very good deal considering the alternative malarone branded tablets are now over £2.50 per tablet.
I have not been to the tropics for some years, but it is essential that you have the correct medication for the area you are visiting. I hope you have done your research. What is appropriate for one region is completely useless in another.
