I think if you don't appreciate the value of the product you likely don't do wild camping etc.

as i said probably ok if you are not allowed to play with matches, and you want to warm up a pint of water to about 90°C in 15 minutes.
when i go wild camping i take my titanium mug and a meths stoves + meths, total weight is under 300g, the trekmates tupperware box cook system + 9 Heatpacks: 742g.
cost of meths roughly £1, cost of 9 heatpacks roughly £18

if i was wanting something to use in a hotel room i would get an immersion heater for a cup, or more realistic, just use the kettle that comes with room.

I don't disagree it's not the cheapest option - especially compared to a Trangia but for food cooking and eating tool and a drinks mug and heater it's quite compact and will work perfectly in very bad weather and cold temperatures and is safe to use under a tarp or in a small tent.
If, as you describe, you only take a meths stove and mug then you could just use the cooking flask which only weighs in at 214g + a few heat packs.
I find these fab for the occasional walk on the hills with my son. BTW I do not have to make myself look clever or superior when compared with other people, I just appreciate the equipment, and credit the op for finding a good price for it.

Was tempted. I also got the flask and I really like that for dehydrated meals that I eat from the pouch (no washing up on wild camps). I only wish it had a bit more capacity. Not sure if I'd get on with the box though.
Do you know if the extra heat packs with the cook box are the super hot or the normal heat packs?

It's only a guess, but as they come in packs of five I would guess the super hot (two packs would give you the 10 extra). I bought the flask, which came with 14 extra heatpacks, which was two of the packs of seven they come in.
Great find OP. Do you know if the extra heat packs with the cook box are the super hot or the normal heat packs?
