Is this model fixed at one point? Or is it motorised so can adjust/move it via a app ?

Wifi enabled ? Or is it hardwire only?

Many thanks

Fixed camera and hard wired only(PoE - Power Over Ethernet). Best picture quality you can get for the money though.

good cameras! but cheaper to buy Hikvision's from Ali Express.

Ok - they do take 2 weeks to arrive though ;)

Yes, I did look at those but didn't feel comfortable ordering form an unknown company in China. I'd much rather pay the extra and get them from Amazon.

Do you need an NVR for these or can a dvr accept them?
I have the Hikvision 7216 svi or something similar

Hot! I have one of these at the front of my property, and could really do with one at the rear. I've so far held off because the prices were still high, but having seen this, I've just ordered it. Many thanks.

You won't have any problems with Ali Express. The only issue you have is its not straight forward to upgrade the firmware on the Chinese cameras.

How do you connect this?

What I mean is is it as simple as connecting the camera to a homeplug and using the power network to feed it to a PC that is recording or do you need something different?

Thank you.

Same here?

I'd also like to ask what you run them back to? IE just view over the network in real time or a dvr? If a dvr any recommendations?

I've been thinking of adding a couple of cameras to my property and this price seems very appealing - with Amazon obviously being preferable to ordering from Ali Express (despite the glowing references) for convenience in case of problems.

I wonder if someone with experience of similar spec cameras (probably the Hikvision, I'd guess) can shed some light on some questions? What kind of costs are involved in running 2? Presumably you need PoE or adequate PSUs. Can you connect both to a single application on a PC and record from both? How much space do recordings take up?

Thanks :)

I use IE to set them up, then the Surveillance Pro app or the Live Cams pro app to view them on a phone/tablet. I use this to record everything.

You'll need a hard drive to go in it and be aware that the inbuilt surveillance software only has licences for two cameras although you can buy more if you want.

Anyone know if an injector can be connected on the POE side to ordinary ethernet equipment? Or do I need to buy a POE capable switch to put on the camera side - I've bought one of these cameras for testing, but will probably buy 3 or more from AliExpress later if it looks good.

That qnap is almost a deal in it's own right there - seems to be over £100 pretty much everywhere else (£143 on Scan)! I think I'd consider something like it for this kind of application, don't trust hard disks though so would need at least a 2 disk version for stuff I'd want to keep.

Edit: it already is a deal:)

Hi
What software do you use to record the IP cameras on to that nas?
I'm running windows server 2012E and already have plenty of hard drive
Storage.

The NAS has it's own built in app software which handles all the recordings and playback so I don't go through a PC at all.

Yes, it's a bargain at that price but didn't get much heat when it was posted.

I bought it soley for recording the camera footage so wasn't too fussed about the one drive. Plus of course the 2 bay option costs way more as you have to buy another drive too.

No, none at all, after an initial hiccup. I had to do a factory reset as any changes I made to config refused to stick. It's been flawless since then.
