This seems to have been the price since before Christmas - I bought some and returned them as instructions were so small couldn't read them - the manager at my local Argos was also unable to read them or to work out how to set them for me so ended up being refunded! Tried to get instructions by e-mailing the company but they said they were under review so not much help. Sure some people who are more technologically minded would be able to work them out but reviews show a lot of people criticised the quality of instructions.... so I have not voted either way as they may suit some people.

These are very hard to setup. I went back to the mechanical timers.

Had a few of these. I found them easy to set up and initially they work very well. But most of them seem to develop a fault after a few months.

Very rarely they need to be reset and this is easily done but on the whole mine have been very consistent , i use them daily for the lights on my aquaiums .

I bought the original ones, if you check the pictures on Argos website you will see that the first photo is totally different to the rest. The original ones were much easier to set up and the manual much easier to read. So when I saw these I thought I'd buy some more but returned them once I knew they were different. Argos did say they would remove the old photos as they had so many complaints but seems they've decided against doing so

Bought some of these, the 2 that work are great, the other one doesn't turn anything on and needs replacing. About as easy to set up as your average digital watch with alarm.

I've had three of these for a while. One's completely dead, and has been since just a few months after purchase, and another works sporadically. I haven't found set-up to be too bad, especially if you just want lights to come on randomly.

I bought these a few years back (earlier version), they are ok to set up once you read the instructions. From the 3 in the pack, 1 developed a fault (would not turn on) so I took them all back and I was given a new box with 3 new ones. Guess what, 1 again developed the same fault but I couldn't be bothered to take them back again. The remaining two work very well.

There's a link on the Argos website to the instructions:-
