Hyperthetically...... if I was go to into Tesco, and purchase some items of clothing (for example), costing over £50 ... produce my club card.. and receive my triple points. What would happen if I was to then ... hyperthetically ... decide that I did not like the items when I got them home ... I would then take them back to Tescos, whereby I woud produce my receipt .. and ask for a refund ... would they then take my points back off me?? Purely hyperthetically, of course!

I would be interested to hear your comments... and thanks OP for the pointing out the triple points.:)

oops..didn't read fully that its for online purchases, but nevertheless, same question..

You can't take Tesco.com stuff back to the shop. But you can return stuff by post and they will refund. I doubt they will take off your points though as they never do with purchases in store.

You can

Most items ordered via Tesco Direct can be returned to Tesco Stores with Tesco Direct desk for refund.

Agreed with Edi, although they are supposed to take the points back and sometimes make a fuss of it.

They would most likely NOT take the points off ... I have had situations where i had earned triple points on delivery at home but had to return a couple of items but they never took points earned back......

Yup - according to your invoice it's just items marked with a diamond next to them that need to be returned directly (usually larger size ones). All the others can be returned within 28 days to your local extra store (from my experience they need to have a Tesco Direct desk ) i've never had points removed either.....and i've returned a few sim cards now too :whistling:.

Let's put some maths into this...

£50 worth of goods = 50 points, with this promotion = 150points = £1.50 in tesco "money" vouchers or £6 when taking advantage of Tesco Clubcard deals blah blah.

If you only spend the £50 and don't really go for the tesco club card deals then would the amount of time and petrol spent returning the items be worth the £1.50?

Of course, if you going to "go large" and, for example, purchase the most expensive item they sell (eg, LCD TV, washing machine etc) and get points from that then it may be slightly more worth it.

You deserve to have the points taken off you and banned from ever using your clubcard again - haven't you got better things to do with your life?
#14
It doesn't even have to be a store with Tesco Direct counter...all the Tesco superstores should do Tesco Direct refunds at the customer service counter. My local superstore does anyway..so I only have to go to the Extra to collect items I've ordered.

If I've ever returned anything to tesco direct, I've ALWAYS had the points taken off me too
