TESCO mobile triples credit when you top up.

SIM card costs 99p if bought in store
If purchased online, it's free...

Enjoy!

tripled credit only lasts a month, so only good for massive texters/callers not for average joe people really as calls and texts are more than other networks
#2
asda have the best deal 8p a minute to any network anytime, 4p per text, and it's pay as you go, asda use vodafone signal, tesco use o2 signal, both good networks but asda is the cheapest

giffgaff are cheaper 0800 free 8 p calls 4p texts do a few posts in the forum get payed. at the moment goody bags start at £5 100 minutes unlimeted texts and internet for 30 days payasyougo no rolling contract.

The triple credit is only for UK use, so if you're going on hols abroad, you can't use it there, only the actual amount of credit you've added. Also, some features are excluded too I believe.

Yes, meaning on holiday I had nearly £20 of 'free' credit but when my 'real' credit ran out the call ended and I couldn't use the phone (even though I had nearly twenty quid credit on it, and there's no mention of that on the adverts - what they say is a very uncomplicated "all I want is for someone to triple my credit - not all I want is for someone to triple my credit but not allow me to use the tripled bit when I really need to on holiday because that's not included!!).

Same with Orange, what on Earth is all this canary and dolphin rubbish? I want to make a phone call not open a zoo.

Also when you want to ring and top up, you have to sit through ages and ages of "Have you heard about Tesco's new this or that tariff", your life seeps away while you wait for a recorded message to shut up so you can add some credit.

I am with O2 now (£100 quidco iphone deal here on HUKD a while back) and thank God for that.

Tesco Lite is also 8ppm and 4 per text

triple credit it is only for certain numbers you still need other credit on the sim card for numbers not covered by triple credit.

Yes but if you are abroad (it's quite popular in this modern age) with say £20 credit and £40 free credit, ALL the £20 credit is used and the £40 free credit remains untouched, and unusable. That can't be what the advert claims and it can't be acceptable. Any free credit should be as useful (or not) as the credit you pay for, or it is a con.
