Tropicana Pure Premium smooth/bits orange juice 1.75L pack for £2.00 @ Asda

£2.00 @ George (Asda George)
Popped into my Local Asda and found the Tropicana at £2 for the 1.75L Carton. Not as good as the £1 for 1L but still not a bad deal. Also confirmed deals is available online to. Read More

Great juice, WITH bits of course!

To be honest Tropicana's lost its sweetness in the last few years. If Asda have it when you go in, I'd recommend the Florida's Natural one which they had for £1.50 on offer a couple of months back when we happened to go in. Went back and stocked up - it is delicious and reminds me of what Tropicana used to taste like when (I think) they used to use Florida oranges only.

Now I don't think Tropicana is any better than Tesco's own 1L which is on for 2 for £2 long-term.

[all of the above are 'with bits' - as they should be!]

Very true it use to be sweeter (better) than the last few years.

I wonder what happen to the oranges, whether they are using inferior quality.
Maybe we should email them and ask what happen to the sweetless.

You're not alone. According to the October 2008 edition of Which? magazine, Tesco Orange 100% Pure Squeezed Juice with Bits was a Which? Exceptional Value. It was the second only to M&S OJ (at two and a half time the cost) with a 60% popularity score compared to Tropicana's score of 44%. I like them both but my fridge is currently stocked up with Tesco's 2 for £2 OJ. Still, not a bad price for Tropicana.
