Found in local bookstore Maher for £35, then found at Amazon for £16 then found this great bargain!!

Meet Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic cocktail waitress in the quiet rural town of Bon Temps, Louisiana. Her ability to read minds makes her slightly undateable... but then along comes Bill. He's tall, dark and handsome but he's fussy about his food, he doesn't like suntans and he's never around during the day. Yup, he's a vampire! Worse than that, he hangs out with a seriously creepy crowd. Don't miss out on these action-packed supernatural mysteries, the books behind the award-winning TV series that's taken the world by storm.

Collection of 8 Books:
Dead to the World
Dead as a Doornail
All Together Dead
Club Dead
Definitely Dead
Dead Until Dark

Well done, the deal is brilliant and both codes worked for me - super duper value!

Ordered 3 sets of these from here when it was posted before Christmas, great price. Just fyi - the eight books come shrink wrapped together rather than in a box as depicted on other sites. Not that it makes any difference really :)

Brilliant - thanks alot - bought the first 4 books in the US and paid nearly 4 pound each for them. Will sell or gift them now and look forward to getting the full set from the Book people!!

Thanks - wife has just gone for these.

Thanks, good price and both vouchers worked for me, have some heat...
#12
I got mine when they were nine quid and am on the third one at the mo.
Very good stuff assuming you like that kind of book , and while they are different from the TV show it's not major enough to be distracting.

Jesus Hates Fangs, Angelina adopts Vamp baby

Heat added. Would add rep if I knew how to do it

Anyone seen a good deal on the True Blood series soundtrack ?

Hey :)

Can anyone who has read these please tell me who they are suitable for - I am guessing mainly girls aged 13+ (or older?) as I don't know if these would be OK for my neice's 13th bday next month. She is a big fan of the Twilight books/films; do these compare..?

Thanks :)

Waaaay more adult than Twilight - if they're anything close to the tv series (have ordered the books today for me) then very graphic sex, violence and drug use - I'd steer well clear for a 13 year old, sorry.

Just ordered, thanks OP :)

great find... ordered mine for the wife ... undergoing surgery ... so will be at home for a month ....hope she finds it a good read...heat and rep added!

Really good deal, bought these just before xmas and arrived really quickly.
#19
Just grabbed these, cheers!

I'll mention my review of the books (it was the last posting in the pre-Christmas offer). Don't forget that the 9th book ("Dead And Gone") is out in hardback (5.20 quid at Amazon, though I got it for 4 quid) and the 10th book ("Dead In The Family") is due out somewhere around May 2010. I believe Harris has said there's probably going to be 11-12 books in the Sookie series.

Ordered mine! Thanks great deal!

heat and rep!

I bought this set a while ago too, great deal for the 8 books, I'd already bought the first seperately for £3.99!! Sold the first of the set on play. I wouldn't recommend for a 13 year old either. I have let my son (13) read my Twilight books, well 1st two so far, still undecided about last one at the moment... but I wouldn't let him read these ones yet.

Awesome find, cheers. ordered the True Blood Collection + an annual .. cheap as chips ;o)
#25
How closely do these relate to the TV series? (i.e. one per series or something?)
#26
Cheers for the advice. I think my niece will have to wait a few years :)
#27
Great - have ordered!

Yep , the first two books roughly match the first two series.
There are some story and character chages - Tara isn't Lafayette's cousin for example , and Jason doesn't get involved with the church - but there's more similarities than differences.

Thanks to the OP, didn't know whether to go for this as not, as there is mixed reviews on Amazon, for people who have watched the TV show but not read the books. Anyway, placed my order, used the codes, and picked up Sherlock Holmes collection whilst I was there! Everything went so smooth, I had to sign up to HUKD to say
