I ordered this a while ago when it was on offer for £9.99 but ended up selling it again straight away... The picture quality on a 40" LCD (and the sound quality) is absolutely appalling and personally I found it unwatchable :x

Good price for some old memories (providing SelectCheaper don't pull their usual stunt - putting the price up and claiming they don't have any stocks so can't send yours at the cheaper price).
Heat added anyway as it's a quid cheaper than I paid @ HMV (although they did actually send the discs ;-)).

What else would you expect from tv programmes of this vintage? Bear in mind most people would have less than 20-24 inch analogue sets, single speaker, and in monochrome for really old stuff. It's hardly going to be HD video and sound.

That, plus the masters have been lost for Trumtpon and Camberwick Green so any restoration is going to be either limited or costly. On the plus side, these remastered editions are an improvement over the original DVD release IMO.

Ah memories!
Camberwick Green is on Virgin on demand and my youngest, who's 3, loves it. Compared to todays shows, the pace is somewhat relaxed, which is nice :)

Ah - so it's not only me who have problems with Select :x.
Three out my last six orders "no longer available". Shyster crew if ever there was one.
I'd start a thread about it if I knew how and where.

Anyone else think the pic looks like a Trumpton version of the Trainspotting poster? :)
