Was this the one that was on Dragons den?
#2
Yes it is - the one with the detachable handle/strap!

My 3 yr old has one of these, we bought it for him last year. It's fab and would highly recommend it for any child under about 6yrs old.
He had loads of people looking and smiling at him at the airport.
They are really strong and sturdy and he managed to cram so many toys in it.
Please note these are for hand luggage only and you will probably get security wanting to have a look inside too, but hey he even had them smiling too.

Silly question, but I take it you have to go to a Netto, rather than buy online?

You can read up on them here

http://www.trunki.co.uk/

I have the towgo one as it has a couple of extra features that I wanted, my daughter age 4 used hers last month when we went to Florida, she had a great time with it and got loads of attention from people, it came in handy when going to water parks too as could store all the wet stuff inside, there were 2 other girls at the airport check in that had one too, they all looked great whizzing about the airport on their trunkis and stopped them getting bored whilst in the queue.

Great price you have found but I would still go for the towgo as it has straps inside to stop everything flying out when you open it, you can get them on Amazon and John Lewis

agree with you on that :) We bought a pink one for our little girl last year. She loved it. Everyone was staring as we wheeled her around Gatwick with her on it. Great for when their feet get tired walking down to the plane :)

Sounds like a good idea, just get the kids to pull you along. I'm sure loads of people will be staring at you then as well !:w00t:

my little boy has the green one and its been worth every penny. He has had many comments about how great it is
#14
will they be in stock at all Netto stores?
#15
This offer starts on the 26th
#16
Got two of these last month from Amazon at £29.99 each, this is a brilliant price, and as previously mentioned you get a lot of looks from people asking where you got them from, etc etc.
#17
Gutted, I went to the babyshow yesterday and bought one from Trunkie. They still cost £30 as they do on there website. How can Netto sell them cheaper than Trunkie?? How annoying!!

Probably punting them out at cost price.

As usual - Rip Off Britain strikes again:

versus:

It's really nice to know that even UK companies charge you more for being in the UK.
#20
Looks great! Would get one but my little lads 7 and he wouldnt appreciate it;-)
#21
Only been looking at these the past few days online and was ready to pay £29.99, thanks for posting this.

TIP - if your netto is anything like the one in my home town, they put there stock on their shelves early, so i'll be trying my netto store on Thursday rather than Monday ;-)

Didn't one of the dragon's (Theo I think?) pull the strap off and tell them to go away and redesign it???

Have they changed that since the model they showed on Dragons Den?

Yeah they've used a stronger design clip since then, they shouldn't break so easily now.

Don't do what I did - got my 2 year old ready, went off to find a Netto, got in there, asked a Manager and he showed me the brochure - it does say on the offer valid from 26th May and it's correct, I was just excited and didn't look!! My understanding from the one I went to is they should be getting them and it says Monday but they may put them out Sunday afternoon

Great offer - Thanks

Hi All,

Bought one for my son earlier this year before we went on holiday and I have to say it is fantastic, we paid about £28 for it and at that price was worth every penny!!!, a great distraction for whilst queing at the airport and also great for letting them learn a bit about packing, when they keep saying can I take this and this and this......, this way you just say, well if your case if full you will just have to pick which bits you want!!!!

Was well used during our holiday and survived well, would definately recommend.

I wouldn't say 'pull' the strap, he tested it to destruction, like he seems to do with everything!

Which is fine but to write something off because it needs a modification or tweaking is stupid.

Amazes you with some of these high flyers, was Theo not one of the idiots who invested in the egg boiler that really didn't work...surely that cant be going anywhere...anyone?

As for that stuck up idiot Peter, his answer to everything is, I can do that, I can have a team do this, I can set up slave labour in china via text blah blah, I've got loads of money and I will shoot you down, and shoot down Mr Trunki he did!
#29
Oh I want a Freida, nice spot will be off to find one asap
#30
We bought both our daughter and son one in easter 2007, my daughter is 7 and still loves hers but is too big to be pulled on it, my son is 4 and can just about be pulled on it. They both still ride round on them while waiting to board etc, and its amazing what you can fit in them lol.

We paid £25 each last year online, and i noticed when i got my NEXT catalogue that they also sell them for £25 each- for terrence and trixie and £30 for towgo.
#31
how they must b regretting passing this on

i thought it was stupid of them to shoot him down cuz of the strap - of course its a prototype - he hasnt sold any of these he hasnt made a million ready to b shipped out

thats the whole point of linkin up with the big wigs with the experience that u can guide them thru

whats the point of having a good saleable finsihed product and then goin to them and giving away 50% of ur business?! they're bringing the experience and ur bringin the product.
#32
Just a heads up - Available from tomorrow (26th)
banned#33
I got mine today - they said tomorrow but gave me a heads up it might be today; the shop had quite a few.

£17.99 as promised - fantastic. My 2 and a half year old loves it.

Thanks a million!
#34
Netto always put their monday specials out on a sunday afternoon, makes life easier for them I guess.
#35
well i got mine on the 22nd.....just like i said in an earlier post, they always put their stock ut early ;-)
#36
Just got 2 from our local store. There great, our son is scooting around on it as we speak. Heads up!
#37
I brought my 2 today but they only had pink ones and only 2 left.
#38
I went to the local Netto this morning and was told they were all gone - was told by one member of staff that they only had "a few" to start with; another member of staff told me that they were only stocked with 3 blue and 3 pink ones. I was there at 10:30am (not particylarly early, I know) and there were several customers asking about them. :-(
#39
Went to our new Netto store in Blackpool today for one, only to be told they didn't have any and might not ever have them in. Then just as I was about to leave I saw a random one dumped on the side!!! Yey!!!!

Moral to the story- Never believe what the staff tell you!!
#40
I got a pink one from the Wolverhampton store this afternoon, there was 2 blue and 1 pink left... really pleased with it.
