If you buy it now as long as you can fit it in your fridge it will be fine, leave it too late and there will be none left !! I have piad £9.99kg for a Free range bronze Turkey not the crown so this is very good value

Voted cold purely because fresh turkeys at my local butchers are £2.14lb leaving this looking quite expensive just because it has no legs!

I went in for this today but the cheapest was 12.00 and small! So I opted for the Frozen large turkey joint already stuffed and dressed with bacon at 9.99...only 3 adults this year and I would normally get mine from a fresh meat market where the crowns are reasonabl size & price. Its a MOnday special to and they didnt have many in at all at 930am

You could be right if I've got my calculations right. Aldi's turkey crowns work out approximately £3.57/lb.

I'll give you a bit of advice.....go to sainsbury's and buy a couple of their Value range Turkey legs. They are the whole leg. They cost about £1.60 each. I looked on their site now...but can't find the item....but I bought one last week and last year. The meat is absolutely gorgeous. It will knock spots of any of the breast or full turkeys....trust me.....and save you an absolute fortune. .

Any idea what the price per kilo is perkypig? It should say on the packaging? Can't see anything mentioned about value range turkey legs either.

Incidentally, 1 kilogram equals 2.2046 pounds so £/kg ÷ 2.2046 = £/lbs. This should give approximate price in pounds if it helps anyone.
