I bought these for my son and he loves them, so do the rest of the family though as we don't have to listen to the games.

The sound is excellent, well worth the money if you're a serious online gamer.

Heat added. Hopefully they're not all bass like the X1's... I don't know how my brother uses them.

Am I right that these headphones don't work if you connect directly to the TV with the HDMI cable? Won't you need to use the Component VGA out from the console? I don't really want to sacrifice the picture quality from the HDMI, but would quite like to be able to talk aswell as getting the increased sound quality through headphones...

Yes use the component to split the sound channels.

Not much of a loss in PQ though.

Or follow the link as above to do both.

Thanks, I thought that was the case

If I use the product in the link - do you know if I still retain the audio through the HDMI if I want it?
If I am not using the headphones for example, will I still get game audio fed through - or simulatenously for that matter (I realise that there is no real need for simultaneous if I am actually USING the headphones...)

I dont have any problems using HDMI on my 360 with these, maybe a slight bit of audio last but very minimal at that, you can also use these on the PS3 to play sound (no use of the headset) which i found awesome too. I paid 50 quid for mine instore a few weeks back and love them.

I was contemplating picking up the officla 360 HDMI cable too so the audio cables can plug str8 in, but since i found it works i dont think i will bother

I just upgraded the ear cushions on my X1s. I emailed the EU suppier, and they ended up sending me replacement X41 ear cushions for free.
I know the X11s have a few other improvements, but the vinyl ear cushions of the X1s were my major gripe.

The XLC headphones fold up, and they sit on top of your ears instead of going all the way over them. I think they are supposed to be the light-weight "budget" model - but they receive quite favourable reviews from what I have read.

Well if that's true, then anyone interested in them should get ordering from tesco.
