Wireless headset for hearing the game and voice chat through the headphones. Works very well, I have one myself. I paid about £65 for mine a couple of months ago so this is nice and cheap.

I spotted it in the Croydon store, so not sure if it's in the other BestBuy stores.

With its comfortable ergonomic design, exceptional sound quality and XBOX LIVE online chat, the X31 immerses you in the game as you communicate with online players, and blocks out distractions so you can focus on the action.

Playing your favorite XBOX game with the Ear Force X31 gives you a significant advantage because you can hear sound cues that you cant hear with speakers - the soft footsteps of an enemy sneaking up on you, or a loading weapon in the distance. By hearing sounds others cant, youll react faster and take them out before they take you out.

If youre serious about your XBOX 360 gaming, get serious about the sound. Move up to the Ear Force X31 and become a better player while experiencing XBOX 360 games as they were meant to be.

How do you hear the TV?

You don't need to hear the TV. The headset mixes game audio and xbox live chat. Its a great piece of kit. I had its predecessor the X3 and now own the X41.

Excellent price.

Will this also work on a pc?

lol wtf!? 40 quid cannot be worth it for any xbox headset. I manage to scream abuse down the microphone to children perfectly well with my free default headset, why in god's name would you fork out £40??? Jeez.

Anyone know if the wireless works through walls or does it need to be within line of sight? My xbox and amp are in a different room from my screen.

£40 is a bargain, 65 is the cheapest these are anywhere online, i bought the wired x11's a couple of months back for £35. Shouldn't matter if your xbox is in a different room to your screen. The x11's wire into the scart at the tv end. as long as you have a usb to power them. I don't have the x31's so i'd do some research first just to make sure. Fully Automatic and cob: People will spend hundreds on games, consoles, controllers, and thousands on tv's just for the best gaming experience possible. Surely it's easy to see that someone out there might want to spend a few quid on some good quality sound, Perhaps for playing at night, perhaps for better quality, or perhaps for the in game advantage. I don't play cod or any competitive fps's but i love my x11's. They're the best addition to my xbox i ever bought.

I was lucky enough to grab a set of the X41's for £70 in the Tesco deal a while back and had a similar setup to youself with xbox/receiver in front room and playing on TV in back room. Unfortunately at a distance of around 10 metres from the receiver with a brick wall between, the sound on the X41's tends to break up, cut-out and 'pop' a lot, making them unusable. I think the X31's use the same RF wireless tech so will probably behave the same.
I've since moved the xbox to back room with the TV and sound quality is spot on now and they are AWESOME with Battlefield BC2, MOH and MW2 type games...I'm still rubbish at them though..!

I also paid 35 for the X11's a few months back and they are awesome. Gutted i can't justify these now though. Have some heat

I also got the x11's a few months back for £35. I did wonder if it was a little ott to spend £35 on a gaming headset, but as I work shifts and have young children, it made late night gaming sessions difficult so went ahead with them. My doubts were soon out of mind though, I could hear so much more using the x11's that it was easy to justify the cost, so if these are of the same quality, which i'd imagine they are just being the wireless version of the x11, then they are an absolute bargain.

These are the doggies danglers if you have the wedge to buy an improved headset, honestly, I can't begin to describe the comfort and quality difference, be warned though, I think they have made my tourettes worse when playing BBC2 :-)

Is that when Jeremy Clarkson comes on the screen? I get that too

Quick question, do these take batteries or are they rechargeable? Also if they do take batteries, what type are they?

In the description it says battery life 20 hours. Now it must be a set battery as obviously different batteries would have a different life span, which leads to the conclusion of an included rechargeable battery (most likely a USB rechargeable) :)
#26
The headset takes 2 AAA batteries. The claim of 20 hours is probably exaggerating a bit, but I use some rubbishy, old, low capacity recharageables and get perhaps 8 hours from a charge.

How the hell can it say 20 hours battery life if it takes normal AAA? obviously different AAA batteries will have a different lifespan! Me is thinking an american wrote that description

BestBuy are going to dominate the UK electronic market with this headset deal leaving Dixons, PC World in the dust.

They just need to open some more stores as my nearest is 30 miles away.

#33

Well the deal title said "in store" so i'm guessing it was an in-store deal and not available online
