Make sure you get some good nimh rechargeable batteries (1000 mAh AAA), as you will get getter life & signal.
Well worth £75
Well, find us a great deal on those and we'll be right on them.
Otherwise, I think £75 for some of these is great. My brother got some X41s last time this deal was on and loves 'em, tempted by these myself.

great item. i have both x4 and x31. however, after introducing X41, x3 was still expensive.
You do both, the game audio and chat comes through the headset, although it's not as jarring as that sounds, the two meld together quite well and you can adjust them individually.
I know they are more expensive but are these Trttons a better headset does anyone know?

You can use them with any product that has an optical output. I have my 360, PS3, HDDVD player all connected into a 3 way optical switch and one cable from that into the X41 base unit. It woks perfectly will everything and they are great.
They are only not compatible with PS3 chat, but i know you can get an extra item to make this work if you wish, but game audio and blu ray auio is fine.
Another great feature of these that most others don't have is that the base unit also has optical pass through. This allows me to have another cable from the base unit into my Receiver so if playing at a time that allows, i can play using my home surround system without needing to mess about disconnecting and reconnecting any cables round the back of the equipment......
Another good thing is they are USB powered so no bulky adaptors. I can then simply disconnect the optical and usb cable then grab the unit to connect to my xbox in the bedroom within seconds.... sorted.
I highly reccommend them. I paid £112 at the turn of the year and are a bargain at that price.

Thanks for your reply.
I'm less likely to use them for PS3 chat anyway since all my mates are on XBox and I tend to only buy single player games for the PS3.
Do you have any complaints about the sound quality or any other things that bug you about this headset?
When using them on my sat box, if I have the computer downloading, I get lots of crackle. From what I've seen, it's a major problem. For slight wifi usage, they're fine. But when downloading something from net, it's terrible...
Well worth it at this price. got them for £125 last year, so bit miffed how cheap they are :p
Which Sennheiser and Astro amp would you recommend?
After having a bit more of a dig about, this is about the best wireless headset at this price. Although there are many who complain about hissing and interference. The next step up in quality is a huge jump in price though with the Turtle Beach PX5's coming in at £170.
Which Sennheiser and Astro amp would you recommend?
HD555, HD595 or PC360.
The PC360 is a headset and has an integrated mic. The 555's/595's would need a mic velcro'd onto the earphone cup (fragtality mod) since they are headphones. The 595's sound the best with the PC360's and 555's fairly close. All of those Senns I mentioned along with the Mixamp are a step up from any TB or Triton headset.
