As above, after looking for these at cheapest price i opted for the skull candy instead and then found these £5 cheaper, typical!
thought this was a good price and couldn't find cheaper else where.

With these being closed ear, am I right in assuming that you also plug these into your TV to get the game sound?
#2
yes i think so, never owned a set but thats what i thought,
#3
You plug them into the back of the xbox for sound. The cables supplied allow you to daisy-chain the stereo output that also goes to the TV.
#4
They aint too bad sound quality is pretty decent
#5
i own these good sound quality but bad thing with these is if ur in a party chat or private chat or ingame u can still hear ur team and here other team in the lobby its annouying but they are very good sound u no if sum1 is coming from the left or right side good for the price

erm - i don't think so ... other than Ethernet, Video/Sound (one cable) and Power there are no other slots at the back of the 360

You use the AV cable you get with the xbox, which has a stereo audio output.

Invest in the next model up, about 40 quid, so much better though, really do make a difference!

Awful headphones. Poor quality sound. Difficult to hear voice chat as you can't control its volume independently like on other TB headphones.

As said above dont waste your money on these and get the X11 or above.

For the money these are excellent. I would certainly recommend them.

Good deal.

Got a pair for Christmas, very good for cod apart from the aforementioned issue of being able to hear the lobby chat as well as party. Party chat is quiet but bearable if you turn down the in-game volume settings far enough; bit of a problem with games that don't go quiet enough (Forza 3 and DJ Hero in my experience so far).

Got the X1's myself, they've always been good to me, so im sure these will be pretty decent also.
Heat and rep added

Totally agree worst headphones i ever bought

I have these they are decent perfect for when the mrs falls asleep on the couch. I paid around £15 delivered for them from My memory I seem to remember.
#23
I wouldn't bother with these even if they were a tenner.

Entry level - Turtle Beach X11

Top end - Astro Mixamp + Sennheiser PC 360

£10 would put them at a price similar to that of a bog standard xbox headset, which pretty much nullifies your £10 argument.

For the money, and if you just want a bit of quiet gaming of an evening, these are fine.

Theyre sold with a HDMI cable, and are made to rectify that exact problem

Also, you can save some cash by simply removing the plastic casing from the original AV cable plug. Then you can plug it and an HDMI cable into the xbox at the same time

Cant you just mute the players in the lobby?

They do fit with HDMI, that's its entire purpose!

You can even butcher the component cable to fit as well (but it can cause issues with HDMI switching).

all answered my question pretty much, was wondering because last time i tried (newer model 'arcade' version) i couldn't have the scart/av lead thing in at the same time as hdmi, ifit works through the tv thats great. cheers all, rep'd
