  Think I jinxed myself the last time these were posted by saying mine were still going strong. Only about 8 months old and one of the speakers has snapped off by the wee swivel joint, they were either hanging on a hook or on my head so they weren't exactly banged about, sound is good but shoddy build quality.

  that's always the downside with turtle each is their build quality

  I have had my Turtle Beach X11 for over 2 years now, not had a single problem and they have had everyday use. I have dropped them and kicked them a few times without anything breaking.
  
  A friend on the other hand snapped an earpiece on the swivel part too that I ended up doing a DIY fixit job for him.
  
  I like the quality, but they also serve a dual purpose of working for my console too when I need to, as I primarily use them on the PC. If I had to buy another pair I think it would be a different set with better quality of build and 5.1 sound.
