Yup, Turtlebeaches for only £15, maybe not the best ones, but we've just tried them out, they are pretty decent. Instore only it seems, may be store specific!

Description

The Ear Force XLC is the ideal headset for cost-conscious gamers who want to enjoy improved game sound with their XBOX 360. Unlike basic communicator headsets that only let you hear XBOX LIVE chat in one ear, the XLC combines high-quality stereo game audio with XBOX LIVE chat, eliminating the need for the mono communicator and external speakers. The unique noise-reduction ear cushions help block out distractions, so you can concentrate on the game, enjoy the full impact of the stereo sound from your XBOX 360 and become a better player.

in castlepoint bournemouth aswell
#4
can these simply be used with skype or are they xbox specific?
#5
Xbox specific i think, sorry pal.

I'm really disliking these store specific deals. It's become a postcode lottery whether a deal is available or not. In some cases (like the supposed Acer Ferrari at Tesco for £199) the deal is simply misinformation.
#7
are these better than the xbox branded headsets? please say yes i need a new pair but £15 is way ott for xbox's flimsy crap lol

And I'm really liking it. Not all deals are nationwide. If you don't like it, don't attempt to make use of a store/region specific deal.

these4 are much better than the standard thing. You get game sound with these in both ears so you can hear footsteps in MW2 etc. and you can use them with an ipod, PC, TV etc because they just use a normal headphone jack

hot! the ones ive got are garbage! have to push towards my ear with 1 hand to hear the speech properly, not ideal when trying to fight!!
#11
i work at asda boston , and we have just got them in as well , although its new range and not supposed to be on sale til sun :)
#12
Has anyone seen these in any of the Hull Asda`s.
#13
Dam , shame these wouldnt work with PS3 otherwise i would be buying a pair.
#14
These headphones are great and I would buy a pair tomorrow!! - Or even today for that matter, thye are a great deal better than the standard 360 headphones as previously stated

Although after being on my 3rd set of standard 360 headphones in quick succession and getting pretty annoyed with the biuld quality I plumped for the x41's this year and haven't looked back - these are essential if you are serious about gaming - 7.1 surround sound :D
#15
any good deals on the x41s?
#16
ive got a pair of the XLC's - amazing headphones. ideal for online MW2 play or night time gaming. Good build quality and all

I find these very uncomfortable. Also, you have to turn the game sounds right down in order to hear other players talking. In Forza 3, with all sounds on minimum, the other players are still too quiet.

Wish I'd spent more and got the X11s with the built in amplifier.

I got the X41s for £150 from Amazon (Accessory-Shop) about 2 months ago. Couldn't find any better deals anywhere (and trust me at that price I looked hard).

Gamestation are now doing them for £160 instore. Could be worth an extra tenner to some people to get them straight away and obviously it's easier for returns (if you need to - I haven't but others have had difficulties).

Edit: They are now £145 at Amazon (Accessory-Shop), so it's an extra £15 at Gamestation for you impatient types.

I thought about buying these the other day, however, I've heard that the voice chat volume is awful, and you can hardly hear any voice. I'll branch out for a higher Turtle Beach model, I think.
#20
Yeah voice is terrible. But this is my first hot deal. :')
#21
The Voice/in game sound settings can be altered through the xbox guide and in game sound setting. Every game I have played with these can be done in such a way so you dont lose sound and game chat volume.

It is all on the Turtle beach website.

The PDF on this page explains how.

Well, nuneaton has its ups for once, shall recommend to a few friends. ++

Yeah just bought these and after playing with the sound levels they really are great. Little uncomfortable after a while but makes CoD even better......for the price you cant complain

Was just about to post this deal XD
Got it today in ASDA Living store at the Glasgow Fort retail park, I already have the X1 headset but thought I may as well get these as a spare.
