TV-B-Gone Version 2 (remote control) is just £2.99 delivered from Play.com

I am bit confused on whether this is a gadget or TV on/off game:) Price at Gadgets.co.uk is £14.99 and at Go-go-gadget.biz is £19.99 !!! (bargain price at Play.com)

TV-B-Gone universal remote control is very much like any other TV remote control except: it just has ONE button (an off/on switch) and it works on almost ALL TVs! Like any remote, TV-B-Gone is harmless to TVs, animals and humans. In fact, it is quite beneficial since it turns TVs off!

Specifications: Turns off virtually any television | Perfect for carrying on your keyring | May take up to 69 seconds for the television to turn off (90% of televisions should turn off within 17 seconds) | Range: 20 to 50 feet (7 to 17 m), depending on the make and model of the TV | Contains 209 turn-off codes | Lithium batteries included (last about 3 months to one year depending on usage) | Dimensions: 1.92" x 2.27" x .675" | Weight: 26 grams with batteries

This would have come in very handy when I worked at GAME a few years ago... Probably quite useful in a retail environment though the time delay sounds somewhat odd.

Just in case anyone doesn't appreciate what this does....

You press the button, and it cycles through a database of all known TV off signals, this process takes upwards of 70 seconds. Essentially, it's to **** off the staff at Dixons, or the footie watchers down the pub.
