I'd probably say the Fire Stick will be better than this. Regardless, another 1GB box that's cheap for a reason. Spend the extra for a 2GB Amlogic box.

Ram might make this struggle

i still run a 2 year old (ish) box of this type with 1gb ram. Runs kodi with The Beast skin on top no problems. Yes more ram is gonna help but not sure it the be all.

Great price for what it is OP.

Agreed, I have 1gb ram in my similar box, after tweaking advanced settings in kodi no buffering issues at all. Cant understand all the cold votes

Well hello there again.

I'm more basing it on their chipset and relative OS and the feedback from other users here. Notice how I state probably rather than will?

Each to their own but I still stick by my guns, as I did in your thread. It's pointless getting these 1GB boxes and as confirmed by other users, you may as well just spend the extra for a more supported chipset and extra GB of RAM.

Hiya there buddy! Now here's the thing, it wasn't confirmed by others, a few yes, but there were a few saying 1 gb is fine for streaming. Well mine arrived promptly and it works great, updates were available, so I'm more than pleased and I saved nearly 50 % on your 2 gb box. I've sky and BT but just want it to see my team when you can't on sky or BT. Like you say each to their own, but don't right off things when obviously you have not had personal experience with them. Op I'm sure this 1 gb box will be more than adequate for the needs of most.

Still, there's a small percentage who agree with me - not directly but more indirectly. I mean, I'd also add don't assume I haven't had experience when I have. My missus parents have a 1GB box and by god it's just horrible in comparison to my own 2GB box.

It was more in your reference to the fire stick. Maybe it was a duff box, I know a lot who use 1 gb boxes like the one I recommended, a decent brand with support and don't have any problems. Maybe your missus parents just bought rubbish? Yes I'm sure your 2 gb box is slightly quicker, but that's about it, for a lot more money.

My bad on that front so I apologise.

I know it was an MXQ box which from what i hear are well regarded. I mean you're not just paying for the extra GB RAM, you're getting an upto date chipset and CPU (notably the s905x which supports VP9 decoding for those who need it or just general future use), double the storage and well, just a faster box in general. I would hardly call £7 to £8 "Alot more money" either.

Ok, but 8 pounds was 50% more than my box, I just posted it because it was cheap and from Europe, but that got lost in translation. Anyway you say potato and I say potarto, well I don't really, you get the picture..... Or will it be lost in translation again:D any ways it's gone on abit now, have your say, I won't be replying, goodnight sir.
