Record one channel while watching another.

Unfortunately, it's not a true twin tuner model. On the vast majority of these now, you can record 2 channel simultaneously, whilst watching a previous recording or in some cases (Humax 9200) you can even watch a third channel providing it is on the same MUX as one of the channels being recorded.

For that reason I'd have to say a cold vote. Being able to record one channel at a time is a serious drawback for me.

I should probably add, that it is supposed to be a very good bit of kit, it's just that this is too much of a drawback to me. We don't record much, but when we do there are quite often a couple of things on at the same time.

I suspect that TVonics are clearing some stocks, ready for their new true twin tuner which is due very soon.

If these are anything like the TVonics 160 then I would avoid this.

Had one for over a year now and it crashes a lot resulting in loss of recording.
