Cold voters care to comment? All I can think of is that people don't know the brand? They are very well regarded and make quality watches.

It's quartz....

It's quartz....

Congratulations, learn to read recently?

234 quid for a quartz watch?...i love how you mispelt quartz in the product information bit as well.

The movement is japanese so its not really swiss, in effect its on par with a seiko but tries to claim swiss heritage to put it on par with luxury brands such as tag and omega.

The original rrp was overinflated blatantly...although it was harrods so thats to be expected.

Oh and its ugly as well...im amazed it got heated up to 34 degrees to be honest.

I think you will find any spelling errors are on the part of Harrods. I don't particularly like the design myself but I know this brand is really popular with watch collectors and aficionados so thought I would post it as its about £150 cheaper than anywhere else. Oh and you can't really class Tag in the same sector as Omega.

Which makes the spelling mistake even funnier, they are peddling crap and they can't even be bothered checking it.

Why would you say that you can't compare an omega and a tag?

Tags are for people that think £££=Quality, Omega on the otherhand are quality:thumbsup:

to say that tag is only expensive and not quality is a bit naive...but i do understand what you mean, tag do have a certain stigma attached to them but thats not to say they aren't a quality product.

meh i prefer to not have a watch that i have to worry about damaging around my wrist most of the time so i shall leave it at that...

It probably is a hot deal based only in terms of price...but then again i wouldn't spend 234 pounds of my money on it for the reasons i already stated so for me its cold...

TW Steel is not well regarded or popular with collectors and aficionados.

It is a relatively new brand whose products are 'based on top Swiss or Japanese technology' so, reading between the lines, the watches are made for extremely low cost probably in China.

There is no heritage or pedigree associated with the brand and it should, therefore, be regarded in a similar way to the most basic of alternatives and this specific model is way, way overpriced even at the 'sale' price.

For those that like the style a fairer price would be somewhere between £40 and £60.

Incidentally, this reminds me of a game you can play in Harrods.

Go to, say, the dining table section, pick a table, any table and guess its price. Now, it's Harrods so you think it's worth £1000 but you need to double that, right?

In the meantime you carefully avoid checking the price ticket while getting down on your hands and knees and discovering that that beautiful cherry/walnut/oak table is actually something cheap and lacquered and they haven't even bothered to treat the underside of the table top.

Oh well, it is Harrod's after all so add a 0 to the end for good luck so that's £20000.

Now, slowly let all the air out of your lungs and check the actual price.

What's that?

£38000.

Make a loud gasping noise.

Repeat on the next table and so on.

You win if you can get away with doing this with every item in a department.

Fun, fun, fun.
