Cold must be from people who've never had to buy dimmer switches. Hot from me. Even the original £6.99 would have been a pretty good price.

Crabtree stuff is really good, at £2.99 this is a steal.

So as long as I keep my bucket of cotton wool filled with nail varnish remover away from my wires etc which will be dangling from my ceiling and walls (as they do) then I'll be fine ?

is this why my dimmer switch breaks down. Ive had two silver looking ones from bnq and they last 1 year and then break down.

Being serious for a second, It really depends on a number of factors, your dimmer switches rating ? Lets say it is rated for 100W and you are dimming 350W of bulbs, yep its going to 'break down' as you call it.

Will pop in to check if it is indeed made by Crabtree, if it is this should be scorching, but as a dimmer won't appeal to everyone it won't.

dimmer switches are NOT compatible with energy saving light bulbs.....remember this before making your purchase!!!!
