Highly efficient means of retaining body heat . Can prevent the onset of hypothermia.

I posted these 8 months ago and mentioned it was a shame poundland didn't have them at the start of the winter. Poundland still sell them and they are ideal to put in the car boot just in case you are in an emergency this winter. Its one of those products that we all hope we will never have to use but at £1 its definately worth having some.

Also useful in backpacks if you are out hiking or walking.

1m x 2m (approx).

There's also the outdoor solutions emergency shelter tent in poundland too with approximately 20ft of cord. This is the kind of thing that doesn't really apply to everyone but if your planning on doing anything outdoors this winter in a place where it would not be very easy to find quick shelter and you don't already have something you could use you might want to pick one of those up too. Its not the kind you could go camping in its something for emergency's only.

looks like the same stuff they use to line the walls on these cannabis factories
#2
I hadn't thought of that before but it would make sense to keep heat in the room.
#3

WOW!! Mrs has been saying she wants new bedding. Now she can finally shut her festering mouth. Heat added.

true fact
you will keep more heat in if you wrap yourself with newspaper than you would with that foil.

Also handy for helping keep the car cool, just trap them inside using the doors to reflect the sun from the side (and makes seeing in the car a little more difficult)

Wrapping oneself in newspaper is impractical in an emergency and would require that greatest ingenuity in the shortest amount of time. It think I would rather have one of these wrapped around me immediately than someone hand me the Daily Mail and a roll of sticky tape. I'm also sceptical that even The Guardian would be comprised of those necessary qualities requisite to prevent my sudden and untimely departure unto another world, should I ever be found unfortunate enough to be in the greatest need.

Its good to keep real blankets, thick one's in the boot of your car too but its not always practical because of space. These are designed to take up very little space so they would even go in a rucksack no problemo. Lots of people use these, hikers, walkers, cavers, skiers etc, because they will fit into almost anything and have almost no weight in comparison to a traditional blanket.

You could just breathe on them, you seem to have a lot of hot air to get rid of.

Note to self: Keep big pile of newspapers in the car in case of emergency.
An almost supernaturally helpful post.

Mascherano, I think scottscotland just didn't think through the practicalities and benefits before posting, I don't think he's an idiot.

Marvellous, I was at a loss for Christmas pressies for the out-laws. Will come in handy when we kick them out of their house so we can put it on the market!
