was just going to mention that it would be a good time to watch the first series again in time for season 2 release :-D

Season 2 is already out in some countries, saw it in Spain the other week in fact!

Now does this include the pilot episode?

Ooops my bad - it does!

SPECIAL FEATURES:The Pilot, Interactive Menus, In Depth Interviews with Cast and Crew, Script Notes, Rare Archived Material

Yes, unlike the Region 1 version!

NB: The pilot episode is NOT remastered like the rest of the series. I watched it not realising that, but then when I watched the first proper episode of the series, the clarity of it is breathtaking, and you really notice the difference. The pilot episode is like watching it through fog.

Great series, just watched it again recently, along with 'Fire, Walk With Me'. This is often very cheap in-store at FOPP/Music Zone, etc.

Superb, time to ditch the old VHS copies taking upo shelf space. I feel another Twin Peaks marathon weekend coming up once Season 2 is released ;)

Yeh as of yet there has been no word on a UK region 2 date.

Dont most people have mulit-region dvd players these days?

Anyway £24.99 is the cheapest i've seen this yet for the USA region 1 box set....

Yes, but its the complete season 2 as opposed to the Region 2 one which is split into two separate sets for season 2. Also The Region 1 edition has the log lady introductions for every episode, something that the first region 2 set does not include.

It may be wise to hold off buying Twin Peaks for the moment as there is a complete series boxset (with a proper remastering of Season 1 & pilot overseen by Lynch) coming out later in the year with brand new extras and hopefully the 20 minutes long alternate ending for the pilot.

Not sure if I'm mis-reading what you're saying...but the Region 2 season one episodes are all remastered, plus include the Log Lady introductions as options.

I recently rented Season One of Twin Peaks from LoveFilm.com, I was hugely disappointed that there didn't seem to a second season available! The news that it'll be released in April has just made my day!

Just to clarify things: Region 1 will be getting the complete Season 2 in one boxset, Region 2 will get Season 2 split up into two parts with all the extras put onto the second part.

According to someone who owns the first part of the Season 2 Region 2 set the log lady intros and not included:

http://www.2000revue.com/community/topic.cfm?topicid=2410

They will probably be included on the second part, but that defeats the purpose by having introductions to certain episodes on a separate disc.

David Lynch will overseeing the colour timing of Season 1 and the pilot so there will be a consistent look throughout the whole series. He is also mixing a 5:1 mix for season 1. This new remastering of season one will be included upcoming complete series twin peaks boxset.

For anyone interested Fire Walk With Me is £6.97 on Amazon. (£7.99 on play, £8.99 on HMV)

I have never seen Twin Peaks, yet I am a big Lynch fan. I can't wait for Inland Empire. I even acquired Rabbits. I think I will acquire Twin Peaks. I love that damn Lost Highway film. Lynch really does make great use of cinema (as does Micheal Gondry, whose Science of Sleep I just returned from, and it was awesome).

ack, gone up to £18.00

Sill reasonable price, but I received mine today @ £15 :)

Sorry to disappoint UK season 2 fans but there will be no UK release of season 2. I searched for it after finishing series 1 (thanks for that early xmas present HMV). The UK rights holders Paramount told me on the 9th of Jan that there is no plan to release series 2 in the UK.

In Europe series 2 is split into 2 sets - the first set has been on sale in Germany since the 4th of Jan. The second set goes onsale on the 5th of April. The other bad news is that they are not in dolby 5.1 just plain old dolby.

It may also be available in Italy as someone from Italy was selling them on ebay uk some weeks ago. Also as the same set has spanish language it may also ....... you can fill in the rest

I took an alternate route and have a new set of 8 DVD's that I authored with menus and have mastered as 5.1 cos I couldn't wait :whistling:

Looks like a good deal if you have a region 1 player and £28 on the 10th of april compared to the region 2 half a box set in only dolby digital
I have a region 2 5.1 complete set now :-D
