People that already pay for Amazon Prime (£79.99 P/A or £7.99 P/M) or are thinking of getting it, now get loads of awesome freebies with Twitch connectivity! Great for those who love the gaming and Twitch community. This months first freebie is a new hero for the Hearthstone game. Another of the freebies is a Twitch exclusive skin for Smite.

Founded in June 2011, Twitch is the world’s leading social video platform and community for gamers, video game culture, and the creative arts. Each day, close to 10 million visitors gather to watch and talk about video games and more than 2 million streamers. We invite you to join the millions of people who come to Twitch to stream, view, and interact around these shared passions together.

Currently a monthly sub to a channel costs over £4 from the UK, so that makes your Prime effectively half price if you cancel a current subscription and start afresh with the free one you get through Twitch prime, or just use it to support yet another of your favourite streamers!

Bonus in-game loot every month, plus surprises

You'll get characters, vehicles, skins, and boosts for games like Hearthstone and Smite, plus surprises like a copy of Streamline the day it launches.

Ad-free viewing plus a new channel subscription every 30 days

Support your favourite streamer, plus get exclusive emotes, more chat colours and crown yourself with the chat badge of royalty.

Also included with your Amazon Prime membership

Prime member discount on new release box games

Your member exclusive discount applies to pre-orders and collector’s editions, plus get pre-order price guarantee and release-day delivery.

Watch thousands of movies and TV shows

Including Amazon Originals like The Man in the High Castle, Mr Robot, and Transparent.

Ad-free access to over a million songs

Including unlimited streaming of albums, playlists and stations with Amazon Prime.

Unlimited One-Day Delivery

Need a last minute gift? Can't get out of the house? Realise you forgot to pick up something? With Unlimited One-Day Delivery from Amazon Prime, your shopping problems are solved.

This is amazing saves me £13 a month, as it was 7.99 before for no ads and 4.99 for a sub
£8/ month to watch someone else play games. oh... no... I'm lost for words... no I think I've lost the plot.
I don't get it... help, what am I missing

Crazy isn't it. You think that's mad, people pay sky £50 a month to watch people play football. They don't even get to play themselves for that. Madness!!

Clearly an advertiser for Amazon/Twitch.
HUKD doesn't need this kind of stuff.

Erm, I have Amazon Prime, use Twitch but couldn't justify another subscription to another service, along with Netflix etc. I am now able to subscribe to Twitch for free, and support my favourite streamers....Win Win, and I didn't know about it before.

Thanks OP for bringing this to my attention. Makes Prime more worth it.

Twitch is the biggest gaming streaming platform in the world.
It is now owned by Amazon. (They paid $970 million for that pleasure).
People can stream themselves playing video games and other people can watch, as well as interact with eachother.
A lot of people have made a living of streaming video games.
Viewers can support their favourite streamers by subscribing to a streamer channel which costs $4.99 a month or by donating to them.

And then there's 'pro gaming', where people compete against each other in lan tournaments for large prize pots, some even millions. The most popular games are team based games which means the prize money is split between 5-6 people. One team of players made £1 million each from £5 million prize winnings.

Can you stream games with it like Onlive?

No. This is to watch people play, not to play games.

I watch twitch instead of TV. £8 a month is for something called twitch boost which is where you got to watch with no adds, or you can do that for free with Adblock. Twitch is great because of the streamers with cool personalities and nice communities built around them. People like me who are not very good at games can enjoy them with other people through Twitch

also good for supporting your favourite streamers, the free sub you get per month counts for them as a full paid sub, loads of them are going crazy on twitter currently

Twitch is the next big thing - it's actually very entertaining once you "get" it. Amazon know exactly what they're doing.

I got this reply from Amazon on twitter, though I guess that's not 100% confirmation of the 20% thing http://imgur.com/YQ9zr9o

My image isn't showing up so : @Twitch will @AmazonUK prime members get all the same discounts etc?
Reply from @amazonhelp was : @katestar Yes, UK Prime members will also receive the same benefits. ^KP

YouTube but live, and all the videos are people playing games. it's a crazy world we live in when people will happily spend multiple times a TV licence a month just to sub several of they're favourite channels, but at least they get the choice ;)

Ok I got it. Isn't this free on Xbox and PlayStation or is that something different ?

I'm already a Prime subscriber. When did the discount on new game releases become available in UK? Last I checked it was US only. Also, how do I link my Twitch account to this?

I'm a bit confused I have a favorite streamer & already have amazon prime - what do I need to do to help them?
#36
I share a prime sub with somebody and only get the free deliveries. If I sign up for this on my own account. I will get

Prime free delivery
Amazon prime video
Amazon music
1 free twitch sub a month.. With this sub can I sub to different people and it keeps on rolling for as long as I have prime? Example
Subscribe to channel a in the month of October for free. November do I have to use my free sub for the same channel to stay subscribed? Or can I then subscribe to channel B for free and that carry on rolling for as long as I have an active prime account? Seems a very good deal to me

Hi, do you know if these discounts are through Amazon preorders?

I already have prime but if I can get a discount by signing up to this it sounds good.

Don't use twitch much nowadays tbh. But it don't cost anything to link it up and enjoy the benefits if needed.

Nice one.

For anyone wondering like me.. it seems the subs roll on for the dutity of your prime sub. Which makes this an excellent deal if you have a few favourite streamers . I'm gonna go for this and cancel my Spotify, give Amazon music s little look at its the only one I haven't tried in all fairness. Thanks for spotting this OP. http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/yy10/chantelle310/for%20sale/Chrome_20161001_09034501_zpseuole3fz.png
