i went on this the other week, what a complete rip off, infact i was gonna complain but couldnt be bothered

you are suppose to receive bucks fizz on arrival and drinks throughout the day, we were never offered drinks and had to ask for them

the haircut was ok but i wanted my hair curling, the hairdresser would only do it straight because she didnt have time as 3 people had called in sick

the hand massage is not a hand massage, she rubs cream on your hands once, then paints your nails

for the mini facial - she wiped my face with some toner, she didnt even remove the makeup i had on before she put more makeup on me

the makeup was horrible and took about 5 mins, i told the lady i didnt want dark colours - she proceeded to do my eyes dark blue, black under my eyes and black mascara i looked like a panda. i said i didnt like it and she basically said tough and that they needed promenant colours for the camera lighting

we didnt get our hair done again before the photos (i.e. hairstyling) so after being there for hours it didnt look that good

when we had our photos done then we saw a photo technician at the end who was actually a sales rep (i know this cos i looked at jobs advertised on their site) and he was giving us the hard sell

if you want any extra photos they want to charge you £800 to get 10 photos on a disk, or £100 per printed photo. if you want them touched up, they then charge you an extra £10. if you say you dont want to pay that they then start coming down in price. they tell you lies when you say you dont want a photo they say its deleted and you cant get it back. but as my friend had changed her mind at the end - he miracley (sp) got all the photos back up - my friend ended up paying £350 for 10 photos on disk (funny how he wanted £800 at first) i refused to pay it and only took the ones i had prepaid for

imo this day was a complete waste of time and a rip off and i would advise people not to book it. if you want some nice photos go to a proper photographer as they wouldnt charge as much as these rip off merchants!!

sorry yorkieman, just telling it how it is, voted cold and i hope you appreciate why

I agree with Superhot - this was bought for me by my mum as a surprise for my birthday (so obviously I knew nothing about it). They ended up sending the receipt and all the details meant for my mum, to me - totally ruining the surprise. When my mum complained, they said we would get a complimentary photo, which we never got. The make up was piled on and the next day my face was covered in spots. When we were looking at the photos at the end, we were hit with the hard sale and ended up being bullied into buying more photos. The "touch up's" are done using photoshop which I could've done myself. I was so disappointed with what could've been such a lovely day. I would'nt recommend this to anyone. Burlington's are rip off artists as far as I'm concerned.

I have to say I've been to this in Manchester a few times and really have only done it because I like the way they do my hair and at BOGOF my daughter and go just for the hairdo.
I let them do the rest but when I have the photos taken, I say right at the beginning there's no point in doing loads cos I won't be buying any and I say the same thing to the salesman then there's no point in them wasting our time and theirs. They're always ok about it. I just take the freebie photo - some of which have actually been very nice.

Oh well i have to disagree with most of you
I recently had one with my mum, and i must say we were pampered. Constantly topping our glasses up with bucks fizz, offering us fruit, really made our day special.Yes they do try selling you the pics at the end however you just simply say I dont want any pictures apart from my free one.ENDOF. I ended up buying some as they were simply stunning.I dont have a bad word about the experience.I would recommend it to anyone, infact ive bought my daughter a make over day. Dont let peoples bad experiences put you off.I had a devine day.
