After seeing the great McDonalds deal yesterday it made me realise i Had to post mine! Basically i was in McDonalds in Putney the other day and got two hamburgers and two fries for £2.50! I'm not sure if the deals nationwide but i've been to three different McDonalds in London that do the offer. Its not often advertised (they don't want people knowing about it) so you just have to ask at the counter, You also get to turn your hamburger into a cheese burger for 10p more. A hot, hot deal if you ask me! Two friends pay £1.25 for lunch. Brilliant!

IT'S BACK!!!

Meh, even if you don't like the food, the restaurants are a bonus.

Free Wifi, Comfy(refurbed ones even more so), toilets in Central London, only place to get a decent coffee at night.

This is really just a continuation of the deals you used to get on the back of car park tickets, used to be just £2 back in the day!

I would like to just comment to the people saying McDonalds is bad junk food, that its changed a lot in the past few years and the beef burgers now only use 100 percent beef from the flank (the good bit), from British cows. You cant really complain at that! And some of the restaurants are really good now! Surprisingly!

And I'd like to add that Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver, regularly work in their "restaurants" to help improve the wonderful fatty goodness even further. X)

Really???!

2. Is there really poo in the burgers.
No this is not true. You can rest assured that McDonald's hamburgers are made from 100 percent beef and nothing else. (November 2009)

1. I've heard that meat for your burger is made up of cows brains, testicals and ****. Can you confirm this is 100% true?
No, McDonald's can't confirm this as true, because it isn't. All McDonald's hamburgers are made of beef. Nothing else just 100 percent beef, made from whole cuts of forequarter and flank (similar to the mince you'd buy in the supermarket). All that's added is a pinch of salt and pepper after cooking. (September 2009)

7. What’s in your apple pies please I heard it was potatoes?
No, McDonald's Apple Pies taste great because they are made from apples and other quality ingredients. No potatoes are added. The McDonald's Apple Pie contains the following ingredients: water, apples (23 percent), wheat flour, sugar, vegetable oil (non-hydrogenated blend of sunflower and rapeseed oil), modified waxy maize starch, salt, dextrose, spices, emulsifier (E472e mono- and diacetyltartaric acid esters of mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids), flavourings, acidity regulators (E300 ascorbic acid, E330 citric acid) and spice extract (Cassia). (November 2009)

went off mcdonalds for a while cos of all this media about them being junk etc.. wasted loads of money on the more expensive alternatives that taste crap and give me stomach issues. Now don't mind them at all and go whenever I fancy, deal is great, love their hamburgers

No. I was taking the pee.... which I assumed you were also. No one can suggest McDonalds is good food and keep a straight face Shirley?

Much better than Wagamamas, that place quite possibly makes the worst food I've tasted, though the chicken bites they do is nice :)
#34
I rather go to PFC, Dixy Chicken, Morleys, Cottage Chicken and the tons and tons of derivatives out there, at least the chicken fillet looks like a bloody fillet and the meat tastes like meat lol

12. I know that McDonalds' burger patties are made from 100% beef and I have respect for the company for that. However, I wonder why the patties look somewhat grey and do not taste very fresh or meaty. Although most people do eat McDonalds' food, very few consider it great food. I have never met anyone that likes the taste of the burger meat specifically. Is there a reason why the meat is so uninspiring.

McDonald’s is sorry to hear you aren’t enjoying it's burgers. Whilst the company appreciates everyone is entitled to their own opinion, McDonald’s does not believe that the burgers are not especially tasty. As you have said, the company works hard to make sure that the burgers are made from good quality meat, using only 100% beef from whole cuts of forequarter or flank. The beef used is similar to mince available to buy in a supermarket. The beef patties are cooked, without added fat or oil, between hot plates that cook the patties from both sides - a similar cooking process to the grilling machines that are sold in a variety of kitchenware stores. However it is not just the beef patties that give McDonald’s burgers their great taste, but a combination of the sauces, beef, buns and other ingredients. Individually all these ingredients would not taste as exciting as they do when they are united to make one of McDonald's unique burgers. With two million customers visiting McDonald's UK every day it seems that the company is doing something right. (Dec 08)

21. do mcdonalds burgers acctually contain beef or is it made from wood and beetroot?
McDonald's only uses 100 percent beef in its beef patties, which means 100 percent beef. Nothing but whole cuts of forequarter and flank (similar to the mince you'd buy in the supermarket). All that's added is a pinch of salt and pepper after cooking. (April 2009)
