It's a reasonable deal. But I won't buy as it isn't a very healthy deal. But thanks for posting anyway.

This deal seems to appear in Asda periodically, and is very good if Walkers Crisps are what you need. I love them but do my best to avoid eating them these days.

It's worth noting that multi-pack crisps are smaller 25 gram packets, compared to 34.5 gram standard single packs.

10p per packet is about the going rate for these type of offers but having to spend £5 just on crisps is a tad off putting.

The 34.5 g bags are about 35p each not 50p plus....that would be the Big Eat 50 g packets

anything in moderation is ok. if u eat the whole lot in one go then you will be a fatty. but one pack every now and then will do no harm.

Lol. Ok, so you buy 52 packs of crisps with this deal. They are sitting in your cupboard. You ain't just gonna stick to one pack a day, are you?

Yeah........1 for me, 2 (1 each) for the kids........21 pks a week, so 50 will last just over a fortnight. Do a big shop once a fortnight.....sorted

Depends where you shop. But would still rather have a 10p bag of 25g crisps than even a 20p bag of 34.5g crsips

Thanks for backing me up, I forgot to check @ work last night, think they are similar price. And the Mars bars at the leisure centre are 65p so I can't imagine the crsps are particularily cheap.

Yeah, those 34.5 gram packets never seem quite big enough, so I just scoff two of the multipack bags. 50 grams is just right - and all for 20p instead of 50p for a "big" bag.

I'm thin as a rake, before you ask... doesn't mean I won't die of a heart attack at 40 mind you. :)

1 bag a day works for me. Miniscule in the salt/fat/cal RDA stakes as long as part of a balanced diet.

Good deal. FYI, Poundland do 3 for 2 on the 6 packs @ £1 per pack. So 18 packs for £2. Slightly more expensive @ 11.1p bag, but you can choose your favourite flavours (i.e. 6 roast chicken, 6 smoky bacon, 6 salt & vinegar!). No wastage that way - as we leave the steak & onion and prawn cocktail!

Many supermarkets sell the 6 packs alone for ~£1.39.

Until about 18 months ago the crisps and confectionery were ALL priced 35p in our work's vending machine. They then went up to 45p then just a couple of months later shot up again to 55p.

Not long after we changed the machine operators from Bunzl to another company (think they're something to do with Britvic). Most of the items stayed the same price and a few were lowered to 50p and 45p.

When the new company came in they sent a couple of reps with them to do a Q&A session. I asked them why the prices had shot up from 35p to 55p (both at work and similarly nationally) in a matter of months and apparently the cost of cocoa has risen recently he explained.

That seemed to initially answer my question but doesn't explain why the price of crisps, Skittles, Fruit Pastilles have also risen sharply too. I reckon the rest of them have just jumped on the band wagon!
