Was in Morrisons in Newlands, Glasgow and they had Typhoo Tea 80 teabags on offer at £1 but the boxes included 50% free so 120 good quality tea bags for £1. Great thing is that when you open the box there are three foil wrapped bags, each containing 40 bags. Brilliant for keeping the tea as fresh as possible. Don't know if 80 tea bags for £2 would have been a great deal but thought 120 for £1 was worth posting. Expiry date on pack is February 2019.

My favourite tea - and I have tried them all over the years......
Hot from me
But I just stocked up with the Farm Foots offer - think it was 300 bags for £2 odd.

NO no no, the AWARD for "sweepings from the floor" was ASDA's, for their "SMARTPRICE" range. SMARTprice? yer'd get MORE flavour from TAP water oO

Nope she didn't, but she knew a thing or two about tea. Looks like most tea bag brands use sweepings nowadays too

Bought some from farm foods today 240 bags for £1.99 works out slightly cheaper than this deal

Thanks for the heat folks ... I'm not actually a tea drinker so bought for the OH. Would be great if people could post to confirm if their local store has stock.

Yorkshire Gold.

I don't rate typhoo but each to there own I suppose. I've tried them all & I think Yorkshire tea is the best. Unfortunately it's not the cheapest. You get what you pay for! Good price though if you like typhoo

Your Gran didn't know a lot then..She should have kept out the pound shops and bought the genuine item, Wouldn't have tasted like dust then..
Nowadays of course its PG Tips that are the factory floor sweepings and weak as p*ss!

Whittards Very Berry Crush is great for iced tea. Or Twinnings Pomegranate & Raspberry and add a sixth of fruit juice to it. No need to add any sugar.
#22
Can't tell much difference between any major tea brand, would be surprised if anyone else could in a blind test. How it's made has more to do with the taste
#23
Good price but Typhoo is horrible.
#24
Try finding it in store. More often than not, Morrisons either don`t have item in stock or they have prices not as advertised on their website. I`ve already indicated this to their local customer service, met with a shrug, and to their head office.

Don't make assumptions, my Gran never went near a tea bag, it was always real quality tea leaves in a pot. Just because she said Typhoo was sweepings, didn't mean she used them.
