Welcome to the no-holds barred epic portrayal of the life of heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. Tyson: The Movie will take you on an incredible journey into the legendary boxer s life, from his days as a teenage drug dealer and thief in Brooklyn, New York to his meteoric rise to fame as the champion of the world and on to his shocking and outrageous decline.

For the first time in history, and in his own words, this unparalleled extremist takes you deep into his gritty world of crime, drug addiction and violence. Witness the monster fighting for his reputation and his very life while imprisoned for rape, tearing Evander Holyfield s ear off with his teeth and tasting defeat at the hands of Britain s Lennox Lewis... all before finally declaring bankruptcy and revealing the loss of a $400 million fortune.

The top of the world or the bottom of the ocean... there is no in-between.
* * * * EMPIRE

Director James Toback takes an unflinching, uncompromising look at the life of Mike Tyson--almost solely from the perspective of the man himself. TYSON alternates between the controversial boxer addressing the camera and shots of the champion's fights to create an arresting picture of the man.

definatly hot :thumbsup:
Does it include his attempted rape of Teddy Atlas' 12 year old daughter?
Its often glossed over in Tyson's life story

No.. He does talk like a sex offender quite a bit in this though, after watching this I came to the conclusion that he is mad and a thug, always knew he was mad but didn't know how much of a thug he was though.

Just googled it because I have never heard this before and it says Mike was 15 and the girl was about the same age, Tyson grabbed her bum so not exactly attempted rape, not a nice thing to grab her bum but I doubt if it would be called rape, also found this on a boxing site that says attempted rape but dosent say what happened.
good price paid £10.99 a few month back, shows tysons good side in this, seems very frank and open, he even sheds a few tears..
Seen the film. But it's more like a documentary. And worth a look. The guy has turned his life around. He lives for his kids nowadays.

He is a different Tyson to what how he was in the past. Shame about about his 4-year-old daughter dieing.

Except for the fact Teddy Atlas is a compulsive liar, didnt have a 12yo daughter then, and has told about 1001 different versions of this same story, which was first told when Kevin Rooney sacked him for bullying younger fighters such as Mike and he wanted people to listen to him because he's an attention wh*re. His story started off as some girl that was a friend of the family, then it was a niece, then it wasnt, first it was a girl a year younger than Mike, then it was a girl several years younger. Did I mention if you want to become rich listen to Teddy Atlas predictions on boxing and bet on the man he doesn't pick, every single time he picks them wrong.

I watched this film/documentary and its good if your a Tyson fan. Tyson is very honest because he's spontanous and says the first thing that comes to his head. Really gives you the story from him rather than 1001 people talking about him

Don't think this is the cheapest DVD in the world but it is good which most DVDs on here are not
This is £4.99 in Sainsburys. It's a nationwide offer as well. Normally on the Fathers Day stand/display.
Excellent film. If your a boxing fan, and actually know a little about Tyson as opposed to whats just seen in the red tops. The film makes no excuses, very good viewing.
