Amusing but very true.

I never intended to spend much on my bike lock (my previous one was £3) but then I watched the clip on youtube and invested £80 in an ABUS Granite lock .....leave it outside 12 hours a day outside the University I work (very high cycle crime) and don't have a care in the world because I know it is near to impossible for someone to steal my bike.

No Vote from me!

have had one once, got blocked next day after I bought it with key stuck in the lock... very poor quality signed by reebok
#14
No, it isn't - bolt cutters can deal with 11mm quite easily but it takes a really big jawed, powerful set to get through 13mm. Shame this isn't rated for insurance though so heat not added for that reason.

Reebok brand bound to add cost without making it any stronger! This designer branding thing is out of control!

It's simple, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIQIJpOhV4c or http://www.ehow.com/how_5012890_pick-kensington-lock.html and it does work, we have used the methord at work when people have forgotten their keys

Some people on this forum get their knickers in a twist lol
The nonsense on this forum makes me not want to post any deals :)

BTW I bought this lock (the £10.90 one) for someone who uses it everyday & no problems so far-theres a keyring tag with a keycode (guess if you lose the keys you can get one made up using that code) & some instructions... the instructions state that you must put the key all the way in- until it clicks then you turn the key, I guess if you turn the key before it clicks into position you end up with a stuck key. Ive read on bike forums that these type of lock cylinder have a number of plates in the barrel that have to be aligned straight when the key goes in otherwise it jams.

@ those who are saying you can open this lock with a pen etc ...YOU CANT WITH THIS LOCK. This lock has straight keys NOT the round junk. The locks you are referring to are almost obsolete, even kryptonite had a recall of the locks that could be unlocked via pen/pen top method.

The only places Ive seen with those dodgy keys locks are places like sportsdirect & argos ( the sports direct one is the dodgy dunlop one & argos not sure what brand one)
