This thread is amazing, just to see someone spell 'spelling' wrongly :)
#2
LMAO, I'm not changing that spelling....
#3
yeah Emma keep the spelling, part of the charm of this thread :)

Maybe he'll/she'll wake up with a hangover and have a laugh.

I think they were trying to convey the message that they were at their Christmas "do".... :)

Can't believe people have voted this cold. Thanks for pointing out the offer. I got one yesterday. To those ebayers and amazon marketplacers out there I can't imagine these would make you much money to be honest with the amount of money the post office will charge to post the thing, so buy only the amount you need for presents etc ;)

Knewbold.....I can't thank you enough for posting this. What an absolute bargain!
I went on the home bargains website, and rung up a few of my local stores....only one store had 1 left, so I asked him to put it to one side for me and I have just got back with it now (plus a golf putting mat thingy) My boyfriend will love it.
Voted and rep'd. Thanks again!

I rung up 3 stores, 2 were sold out, and one had one left, which is now at home with me! I live in Manchester by the way, if anyone near me is interested.

I know! I think real u2 fans just won't expect to see that book in there...I only found out by this thread. And like you say, if someone spots it, they might think its a really old one, due to an old photo being on the front!

I'm glad anyway, and I know my OH will be too.
#15
It is fantastic book for any U2 fan...well worth £20 never mind £2.99
#16
Not a U2 fan by any means but this 'spiders' expression intrigues me no end. I'm hoping to fit it into a conversation with someone during the day to see what reaction I get.
#17
well the deal and its dubious content is now on the front page for all the world to see.. spiders? i dunno.. neither does he im sure.

the bloke behind me had a box full

#24
What does spiders mean!!!!
#25
its just a term of amazement

in the same vein as "christ on a bike!"

if you say it on a excited manner when someone gives you some news you will understand

for example
"that u2 book is 2.99"

"spiders! thats a good price!"

ps
im sat at work laughing like mad at this thread - its mad!
shppinh - haha
glad i made the opening page tho
